3 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals will take a look at running back Joe Mixon (ankle) on Saturday and decide on his status for Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers. Mixon missed his third straight day of practice on Friday, which is usually never a good sign, but he's only dealing with a low ankle sprain and could be a game-time decision on Sunday morning. If the 25-year-old is limited or out this weekend, the Bengals are expected to go with a committee approach featuring Samaje Perine and rookie Chris Evans. Perine is likely to be the go-to guy on early downs and in short-yardage situations, while Evans would likely take over third-down work.
