Ben Roethlisberger Has Good Chance Of Playing Sunday
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was placed on the COVID-19 list this week because he was deemed as a high-risk close contact of tight end Vance McDonald, has a very good chance of playing in Week 10 against the division-rival Bengals. His last close contact with McDonald came on Sunday, so if Roethlisberger continues to test negative for COVID-19 for five days, he would be good to go on Saturday. On the negative side, Big Ben would have to compete this weekend without having practiced with his teammates. Roethlisberger is also dealing with injuries to both of his knees, but there's optimism those injuries won't keep him from playing. There's a lot working against Big Ben and the undefeated Steelers this week, but he'll be a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 if he's active. If he isn't cleared, Mason Rudolph would get the start under center.
