Bears Plan To Expand Chase Claypool's Role
2 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said that the team plans to expand the package of plays for wide receiver Chase Claypool in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday in Claypool's second game with the team. In his debut with Chicago in last week's win over the Green Bay Packers, Claypool played just 35 percent of the offensive snaps and caught two of six targets for only 13 yards. We should expect his snap share to increase this weekend, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a recommended flex play for fantasy managers, even in deeper leagues in the Bears' low-volume passing attack. Quarterback Justin Fields and the team's offense is showing more life of late and has a great matchup, but Claypool is still a shaky starting option as he continues to learn the team's offense.
