Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Houston Astros have reinstated outfielder Taylor Trammell (calf) to the big-league roster on Monday and optioned third baseman Shay Whitcomb to Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move. The 27-year-old has yet to appear in a game in 2025 since straining his calf in spring training. Trammell recently completed his minor-league rehab assignment and slashed a solid .293/.389/.561 through 41 at-bats across two levels. However, it's worth noting that dipped to .231/.343/.462 upon his arrival to Triple-A. He figures to get some at-bats against right-handed pitching, but isn't an appealing option for fantasy managers considering a career .167 average (311 at-bats).--Alex Ciulla
