Antonio Gibson, Curtis Samuel Not Practicing
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson (shin) and wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. Gibson is dealing with a hairline fracture in his shin but has been playing through it, carrying the ball 20 times for 60 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints. This could become a routine for him sitting out practices early in the week to manage the injury. He'll remain a low-end RB1 for Week 6 against the Chiefs. Samuel, on the other hand, is week-to-week after aggravating his ongoing groin issue in his season debut on Sunday. DeAndre Carter stepped up with Samuel going down, playing 69.9% of the snaps and catching four of his eight targets for 62 yards. He could serve as the third receiver behind Terry McLaurin and Adam Humphries if Samuel is forced to miss yet another game.
