San Jose Sharks goaltender Alexandar Georgiev (upper body) will not be available for Thursday's game against the Edmonton Oilers. He has sustained an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky doesn't believe that Georgiev's injury is long-term, and he was on the ice after the morning skate in full gear, which suggests that he may be available again soon. Georgiev, who started the season with the Colorado Avalanche, has posted a 7-17-2 record as a Shark, allowing 3.80 goals with a .876 save percentage. In his absence, Georgi Romanov will get the start on Thursday, while Gabriel Carriere has been summoned from the minors to serve as the backup.--Taavi Pailk
