Adrian Del Castillo Hits Home Run in Return to Triple-A
Adrian Del Castillo went 2-for-5 with a home run in his first game off the Triple-A injured list on Tuesday. The young backstop has been dealing with a shoulder injury since the end of March. He recently began a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League, where he posted a .310/.434.,690 slash line across 12 contests. However, in his first game off the IL with Reno, he would launch his fourth long ball of the season. Last summer, Del Castillo spent most of his season with Triple-A and even earned a taste of the majors. With Triple-A, Del Castillo held a strong .312/.399/.603 slash line with 26 round-trippers. In 25 games with the Diamondbacks, the No. 6-ranked prospect in the system held a .313/.368/.525 line with four home runs. He should be in the mix to return to the majors in the coming weeks.
