Aaron Judge Hits Mammoth Home Run in Loss
Aaron Judge crushed his 26th home run of the season in a 2-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Judge struck out in his first three at-bats against star southpaw Garrett Crochet, but he got a measure of revenge in the top of the ninth inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and Crochet two outs away from a complete-game shutout, Judge crushed a 443-footer over the Green Monster to tie the game. While Boston won in extra innings, Judge continues to tear it up. Now tied with Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh for the league lead in homers, Judge has put together a ridiculous .390/.485/.780 line with an AL-best 60 RBI in 303 trips to the plate. He'll face Red Sox righty Hunter Dobbins on Saturday. Judge took Dobbins yard in a meeting last weekend.
