Aaron Ashby's Velocity Trending In The Right Direction
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby's (shoulder) velocity is trending in the right direction after it didn't come along as the team had hoped after his shoulder injury, according to general manager Matt Arnold. Reports on Ashby recently have been very positive, giving hope that he will be ready to go for the start of spring training next year, barring another setback this offseason. The 25-year-old southpaw had left-shoulder surgery in April and wasn't making much progress in his rehab until recently. Ashby didn't pitch at all in the big leagues in 2023 and threw just seven innings during his rehab. If he's fully healthy next year, he should be a candidate to be in Milwaukee's starting rotation in 2024.
