NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (6/22/25)

Pascal Siakam - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Kyle's NBA DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on June 22, 2025.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Well, this is it. After 82 regular-season games and four grueling, long playoff series, the NBA Finals will come down to a decisive Game 7 for the first time since LeBron and the Cavaliers faced Stephen Curry and the Warriors back in 2016. The Indiana Pacers won't go away, showing incredible resilience with an unselfish, effort-first mentality that has carried them well past where anyone had them going this year. The Thunder, meanwhile, have ridden their star power, bench, and scheme to one of the most impressive seasons in recent memory.

Let’s break down the DFS angles for Game 7 and find the edges we can exploit. I’ll cover my favorite MVP options, core flex plays, and a few value darts that could help unlock the rest of your lineup. As always, stay locked in throughout the day — news and injury updates can shift the entire slate, and adjusting on the fly is where the money’s made.

But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/22/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:00 p.m. EDT on DraftKings.

Today's NBA DFS MVP/Captain Picks

These are the guys you want headlining your lineups at the MVP position (on FanDuel) or Captain position (on DraftKings). Note: FanDuel has now adopted the same type of dynamic pricing as DraftKings, where the MVP selection costs 1.5 times their regular salary.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC - PG ($21.6K DK, $25.8K FD)

SGA had a brutal Game 6, finishing with eight turnovers and 25 DK points over 31 minutes in a blowout loss. That has not been the norm for him these playoffs, and I don't expect he'll turn in another stinker in the most crucial game of his life. He has scored at least 60 DK points twice in this series, and while Jalen Williams can occasionally pop off, no one else on either team can come close to the upside that SGA provides in daily fantasy contests. The Thunder are seven-point favorites on their home floor, and I fully expect SGA to put a stamp on his MVP season.

Pascal Siakam, IND - PF ($15.9K DK, $18.6K FD)

Siakam has been steady and productive throughout the playoffs, but he has taken his game to the next level even more when the lights are brightest. The veteran forward has finished with at least 40.5 DK points in each of his last four games, and he exceeded 50 DK points in Game 4 and Game 5. Tyrese Haliburton played in Game 6, but Siakam is getting his chances with the star guard playing through an injury that's hampering him. He's taking on more usage, shooting more, and contributing with rebounds, assists, and "stocks." He's my choice at MVP/Captain from Indiana tonight.

Others To Consider: Tyrese Haliburton - PG/SG

Today's NBA DFS Utility

These players are ones you may want to add to your Utility spots!

T.J. McConnell, IND - PG ($5.8K DK, $5.4K FD)

McConnell has always been a productive per-minute fantasy producer, and that trend continued this season, as he averaged 1.18 FPTS/min. He put up 28.25 and 27.75 DK points in limited minutes earlier in this series, and is currently riding a streak with 32 and 38.75 DK points coming into tonight's action. He has stepped up with Haliburton injured, and they'll need him at his best in the series finale tonight. Hali will likely play, but he's still listed as questionable with his calf injury.

Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC - C ($5.2K DK, $2.6K FD)

Hartenstein disappeared for a few games, but he has scored at least 20 DK points in four of six games in the Finals, including two straight contests coming into tonight. The Thunder still aren't giving him more than 21 minutes, but he can make that work due to his solid 1.15 FPTS/min rate. Figuring out how OKC is going to deploy their bench has been a guessing game throughout these playoffs, but it feels likely that Hartenstein will get his 20+ minutes of work with Myles Turner getting 25+ minutes on the other side.

Others To Consider: Alex Caruso - PG/SG

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

Obi Toppin, IND - PF/C ($5.4K DK, $4K FD)

How could it not be Obi Toppin leading off this section? Toppin put up 32 DK points when the Pacers needed him most in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and he has four consecutive games with at least 20.5 DK points heading into tonight's do-or-die Game 7. He has two games with over 32 DK points over his last three, and a lot of it has to do with him going 7-for-17 (41%) from 3PT in that stretch. He may see increased playing time and opportunity as a trickle-down effect of Haliburton playing through injury, and there's no doubt that he has grown to become one of Rick Carlisle's go-to scoring options off the bench.

Lu Dort, OKC - SG/SF ($4K DK, $2.2K FD)

There's not a ton to say here, and I want to start with saying I won't be putting all my "value pick" eggs into the Dort basket. He has been so, so inconsistent and volatile in the playoffs, but that's part of what makes him appealing. Just check out the roller coaster of DK points he has finished with in the Finals: 36, 9.5, 19, 11.75, 30.5, and 8.5. A 30+ DK point game at his salary could be the contrarian value pick that wins a tournament, but he could also sink all of your lineups if things don't break right. I'm going to bet on Dort shining through tonight, and what's nice is that he can get there without being dependent on scoring.

Others to Consider: Aaron Nesmith - SG/SF

As the NBA playoffs heat up, so do the opportunities to win more in Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) on DraftKings and FanDuel. Staying informed on late-breaking NBA injury news is critical for success, so be sure to leverage RotoBaller’s expert insights and tools throughout the day to gain an edge on the field.

Whether you're grinding out GPPs or locking in safe cash game picks, a smart NBA DFS strategy can make all the difference. Good luck tonight, and may your lineups crush!
