MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (6/29/25)

Junior Caminero - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB DFS Picks

Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 6/29/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Happy Sunday! This afternoon, we have an action-packed 11-game main slate to target. On the hitting side, we have several top matchups to target, including the red-hot Tampa Bay Rays.

On the pitching side, we have an ace in Atlanta taking the bump, and a right-hander in Milwaukee who could be primed to rack up strikeouts.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/29/2025, with the slate starting at 1:35 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Taj Bradley, TB at BAL ($7.7K DK/$8.4K FD)

After allowing six runs on June 18, Taj Bradley bounced back in a big way on June 24, tossing 6 2/3 shutout innings against the Royals. In this outing, Bradley allowed just two hits, one walk, and struck out four.

This afternoon, he will face the Orioles, who have posted the fifth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.

Spencer Strider, ATL vs. PHI ($9.5K DK/$9.5K FD)

This pick is much safer. Over his last 17 innings of work (three starts), the hard-throwing right-hander has struck out an impressive 29 batters while allowing just six walks and four runs.

Even though he has a tougher matchup against the Phillies, his strikeout upside gives him the highest ceiling on the slate.

Chad Patrick vs. COL ($9.1K DK, $8.6K FD)

Over his last 15 innings (three starts), Chad Patrick has struck out 22 batters but has allowed a rather higher 13 runs. While he may seem like a risky play given his inconsistencies, facing a weak Colorado offense at home is a top matchup to target.

Patrick will face an offense that has posted the highest strikeout rate against righties this season and has generated the lowest wRC+ against right-handed pitching.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Note - all hitter advanced metrics referenced (xSLG, xwOBA, ISO) are from May 15 through June 28

Nick Kurtz, ATH - 1B at Marcus Stroman ($3.9K DK/$3.2K FD)

The rookie has been red hot and is quickly establishing himself as one of the top first basemen in the sport. On Saturday, Kurtz launched his seventh home run over his last 13 contests.

This afternoon, he will face right-hander Marcus Stroman, who is set to return from the IL. Before his knee injury, Stroman allowed 12 runs in three starts. His primary pitch, his sinker, did not find much success, generating a .436 xwOBA. When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching, Kurtz has posted an elite .626 xSLG and a .545 ISO.

Junior Caminero, TB - 3B at Dean Kremer ($4.7K DK/$3.5K FD)

After posting a modest .230/.259/.402 slash line through his first 45 games of the season, many thought that Caminero needed additional time to develop in the major leagues. However, over his last 32 games, the former top prospect has been one of the best hitters in baseball, boasting a .291/.353/.661 line with 11 doubles and 12 long balls.

This afternoon, he will face four-seam-reliant pitcher Dean Kremer. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching, Caminero has posted a remarkable .847 xSLG with a .625 ISO.

Update - Caminero is not in Sunday's lineup

Brice Turang, MIL - 2B vs. German Marquez ($4.5K DK/$3.1K FD)

There may not be a hotter hitter in baseball than Brice Turang. Over his last 11 games (entering Saturday), Turang has posted a stellar .400/.417/.533 slash line with three doubles, a home run, seven RBI, and a stolen base.

This afternoon, he will face Colorado right-hander German Marquez, who has struggled to command his four-seamer. Since June 1, this pitch has generated a high 4.13 xwOBA. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitchers, Turang has generated an excellent .385 xwOBA. Expect him to stay hot at the plate once again.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Note - all hitter advanced metrics referenced (xSLG, xwOBA, ISO) are from May 15 through June 28

Christian Yelich, MIL - OF vs. German Marquez ($5K DK/$3.7K FD)

Like his teammate Turang, Yelich should be in a prime position to crush Marquez's four-seamer. When facing fastballs from righties during this stretch, Yelich has generated a strong .529 xSLG with a .413 xwOBA.

In addition, Yelich also enters this game swinging a hot bat. In his last 10 games entering Saturday, the outfielder has posted a .452/.489/.738 line with six doubles, two home runs, 17 RBI, and two stolen bases.

Cam Smith, HOU - OF vs. Jameson Taillon ($3.4K DK/$2.8K FD)

After a slow start, the former first-round pick has turned the corner and become one of the most productive bats in the Houston starting nine. Since June 10, Smith has posted a .359/.423/.563 line with four doubles and three home runs.

This afternoon, he will face four-seam-heavy right-hander Jameson Taillon. When facing four-seam fastballs from right-handed pitching, Smith has generated a remarkable .570 xSLG and .433 xwOBA, which only trails Jose Altuve as the highest marks on the team.

Starling Marte, NYM - OF at Mike Burrows ($3.7K DK/$2.6K FD)

My final outfielder to target is Starling Marte. Since May 15, Marte has been mashing fastballs, posting a stellar .597 xSLG with a .308 ISO. This should play well against right-hander Mike Burrows.

Burrows has thrown his four-seamer 41.3% of the time across 30 1/3 innings this season. This pitch has generated a .401 xwOBA with a .612 xSLG. Marte is one of my top budget plays if you decide to fade the high-priced Mets, such as Juan Soto and Pete Alonso.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Tampa Bay Rays at Dean Kremer

Dean Kremer has enjoyed two strong outings recently, but is due for some significant regression. Over his last two starts, the right-hander has posted a 1.69 ERA through 10 2/3 innings of work. However, under the hood, the 29-year-old sits with a high 4.29 xERA and a .270 xBA.

Since June 1, his four-seam fastball has posted a hefty .539 xSLG and a .355 xwOBA, much higher than the .389 SLG and .259 wOBA it holds.

Favorite Combo: Caminero, J. Lowe, B. Lowe, Diaz

2. Houston Astros vs. Jameson Taillon

Taillon is finally seeing his metrics catch up to him. In his last outing in St. Louis, the right-hander was crushed, allowing eight runs and eight hits through four innings of work. Through 90 2/3 innings this season, he has generated a high 4.49 xERA and a .263 xBA.

His primary pitch, his four-seamer (40.5% usage), has posted a poor .487 xwOBA since June 1.

Favorite Combo: Smith, Meyers, Altuve, Pena

3. Athletics at Marcus Stroman

After missing all of May and most of June due to a knee injury, the right-hander is set to return from the IL this afternoon to face the Athletics. As noted above, when discussing Kurtz, Stroman allowed a hefty 12 runs over his first 9 1/3 innings of work this season. During this stretch, his sinker (which he threw 36.3% of the time) generated a .611 xSLG and a .436 xwOBA.

He currently sits with a 6.95 xERA and a .305 xBA.

Favorite Combo: Kurtz, Butler, Rooker, Soderstrom

Other Options to Consider: Brewers vs. German Marquez, New York Mets at Mike Burrows
