MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/6/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Jarren Duran - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on September 6, 2024. Mike Barner's MLB DFS sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Buckle up for a busy Friday with 15 games set to be played across baseball. There are only three early start times, leaving us with 12 games to choose from for the main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/6/2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Tarik Skubal at OAK ($10,200 DraftKings; $12,000 FanDuel)

Skubal tossed another gem in his last start, allowing one run and recording eight strikeouts over eight innings against the Red Sox. He has followed up his 0.90 WHIP from last season with a 0.93 WHIP this year. His 30.3% strikeout rate makes him an ideal option against the Athletics, who have struck out the fifth-most times in baseball.

Zack Wheeler at MIA ($10,000 DraftKings; $11,500 FanDuel)

Talk about consistency. Wheeler has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last six starts. For the season, he has a 2.63 ERA and a 3.27 FIP. He hasn’t finished a season with an FIP higher than 3.30 since 2019. He should be a popular option against the Marlins, who have scored the second-fewest runs in baseball.

Nick Pivetta vs. CHW ($8,600 DraftKings; $9,300 FanDuel)

The concern with rolling out Pivetta in DFS is that he allows too many home runs. After allowing 1.5 HR/9 last season, he has given up 1.8 HR/9 this year. However, that might not be a problem against the White Sox, who have hit the fewest home runs in baseball. They could also be without Luis Robert Jr., who left Wednesday’s game against the Orioles with a hamstring injury.

Also consider: Bryce Miller at STL, Max Fried vs. TOR

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bryce Harper – 1B, PHI vs. Edward Cabrera ($5,400 DK; $3,600 FD)

Harper was hit in the elbow Wednesday, but he was right back in the lineup Thursday against the Marlins. He went 0-for-3 with a walk and is now hitting 16-for-46 (.348) with seven doubles over his last 13 games. This is a favorable matchup for him against Cabrera, who has a 5.33 ERA and a 5.15 FIP this season. Cabrera has allowed 1.7 HR/9 to go along with his 1.47 WHIP.

Zach Neto – SS, LAA vs. Gerson Garabito ($4,500 DK; $3,200 FD)

While Garabito started 10 games a Triple-A this year, it’s unclear how deep he will pitch in this matchup. He just took the mound Tuesday against the Yankees, throwing 15 pitches in a relief appearance. In what could amount to a bullpen game for the Rangers, Neto is a viable target. He has featured his combination of power and speed this season, hitting 20 home runs and stealing 27 bases.

Josh Jung – 3B, TEX vs. Samuel Aldegheri ($4,200 DK; $2,900 FD)

Aldegheri had never pitched above Double-A before being called up to start last week against the Mariners. He has only logged a total of 27.1 career innings at Double-A, so this is a big jump for him. In his first start against the Mariners, he allowed seven runs (two earned), six hits, and two walks over five innings. Take a chance on Jung, who has a career .396 wOBA versus lefties.

Also consider: Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso, Jose Caballero

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jarren Duran – OF, BOS vs. Davis Martin ($6,200 DK; $3,900 FD)

Two splits are working in Duran’s favor here. First, he has a .210 ISO and a .375 wOBA at home this year. Second, he has a .289 ISO and a .404 wOBA against right-handed pitchers. That makes him an ideal choice against Martin, who has a 1.39 WHIP to go along with his underwhelming 22.7% strikeout rate.

Taylor Ward – OF, LAA vs. Gerson Garabito ($4,300 DK; $3,100 FD)

Ward had his 14-game hitting streak snapped Thursday when he went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Even with that included, he is 18-for-58 (.310) with five home runs, three doubles, and two triples over his last 15 games. Sitting at 21 home runs, he is just two away from tying his previous career high.

Wyatt Langford – OF, TEX vs. Samuel Aldegheri ($4,000 DK; $3,100 FD)

Going back to the Rangers facing Aldegheri, Langford is another top target. He is heating up, hitting 15-for-48 (.313) with three home runs and three doubles across his last 13 games. Right-handed pitchers have limited him to a .668 OPS this year, but he has a .862 OPS versus lefties.

Also consider: Mookie Betts, Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Merrill

2. Rangers vs. Samuel Aldegheri
