MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/30/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Jack Flaherty - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Free daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings, FanDuel. Use Euan's MLB DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on May 30, 2024.

Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! There are eight games on our pre-weekend plate, but it's split into two slates of four. This article focuses on the evening games that start in Boston and end in Los Angeles.

Don't look now, but the Tigers are gaining momentum. Over the last month, they are second in OPS (.763), third in wOBA (.334), and sixth in wRC+ (116) against right-handed pitching. Most of their hitters are cheap, so pairing them with some heavy hitters is a good spot for tonight's schedule.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/30/2024 and the slate locking at 7:10 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jack Flaherty - RHP, DET at Red Sox ($8.7K DraftKings; $10.3K FanDuel)

When you look at Jack Flaherty, it's hard to believe a pitcher's worth was heavily weighted by their win-loss record. On the year, the 28-year-old is 1-4 with a 3.84 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 81 strikeouts across 61 innings. His 33.3 percent strikeout rate is third-highest among healthy, qualified pitchers, and his 2.76 xERA suggests Flaherty has been a bit unlucky. Boston is a challenging matchup, but they like to swing and miss. Over the last month, the Red Sox have the ninth-highest strikeout rate (24.4 percent) for right-handed pitchers.

Reynaldo Lopez - RHP, ATL vs. Nationals ($8.0K DK; $9.0K FD)

It's felt like Reynaldo Lopez is walking a tightrope for most of the season, but DFS managers should trust him to stay on the wire for one more game versus Washington. After allowing five earned runs in his first five starts over 30 innings, the Braves righty has given up five earned runs in his last four starts over 21 1/3 innings. The margins are getting thinner for Lopez to succeed, but it should be enough to get by the Nationals. Since April 30, Washington has sat inside the bottom six of every significant hitting category against RHPs, including OPS (.635).

Also Consider: Zac Gallen at NYM, Carlos Rodon at LAA, Nick Pivetta vs. DET

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

DJ LeMahieu - 1B/3B, NYY at Patrick Sandoval ($3.3K DK; $2.8K FD)

Over the last month, New York has been a top-10 offense versus left-handed pitching. So rostering as many players from this offense against a struggling Patrick Sandoval (5.6o ERA, 1.55 WHIP) is essential to Thursday's strategy. The heavy hitters (Aaron Judge, Juan Soto) will be popular, but grabbing a bargain piece of the pinstripes offense is also viable in DJ LeMahieu. The infielder debuted on Tuesday and should be good for today's game. In his 2024 debut, the former Rockies second baseman went 0-3 with a run and a walk.

Colt Keith - 2B, DET at Nick Pivetta ($2.6K DK; $2.5K FD)

After signing an extension in the preseason, many season-long fantasy baseball managers had some hope for Colt Keith. While it's been a rough rookie season so far (.581 OPS), things are starting to turn around for the 22-year-old. Over his last 10 games, Keith owns a .400/.455/.600 slash line with three runs, five RBI, four extra-base hits, and a steal, averaging 11.22 FD PPG. That's the second-highest mark among all second basemen on today's slate, despite Keith's price tag making him the 10th most-expensive option.

Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS vs. Jack Flaherty ($5.8K DK; $3.9K FD)

After an up-and-down first month of the season, Rafael Devers has settled into his 2024 groove. Boston's third baseman has 18 runs, 19 RBI, and seven home runs this month and sits inside the top 10 of qualified hitters for all those categories. From May 15-20, Devers hit a home run in six consecutive contests and had a season-high four-hit game on Tuesday night. The 27-year-old will aim to end this majestic month on a high note and use Jack Flaherty's 21.4 percent HR/FB rate against him.

Also consider: Logan O'Hoppe, Mark Vientos, Jeff McNeil, Gleyber Torres, Austin Riley

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Marcell Ozuna - OF, ATL vs. Trevor Williams ($5.7K DK; $4.0K FD)

With Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) out for the year, the Braves have had a new-look lineup. For DFS purposes, Marcell Ozuna remains in a prime points-accruing position as the third hitter for Atlanta. He's batting behind Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley and ahead of Matt Olson. In 53 games, the veteran slugger has 31 runs, 49 RBI, and 26 extra-base hits with a .994 OPS.

Kevin Pillar - OF, LAA vs. Carlos Rodon ($4.5K DK; $3.1K FD)

With left-handed Carlos Rodon on the mound for New York, Kevin Pillar will likely get a start for Los Angeles. The veteran outfielder has batted cleanup for the previous seven games where the Angels faced a Southpaw. So Pillar has the platoon advantage but is also on a tremendous hitting run. The 35-year-old is on an 11-game hit streak, and over the last 10 games, he's sporting a 1.230 OPS with eight runs, 11 RBI, five extra-base hits (three home runs), and three steals, averaging 13.3 DK PPG.

Joc Pederson - OF, ARI vs. Christian Scott ($4.0K DK; $2.9K FD)

It doesn't matter where Joc Pederson hits in Arizona's lineup because he's getting the job done regardless. He moved to third in the order against RHPs on May 8 and posted a .969 OPS since that day. That aligns with his season-long numbers (.942 OPS), and he's a fantastic discounted DFS option for Thursday's slate.

Also consider: Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, Wilyer Abreu, Taylor Ward, Jesse Winker
