If there’s one thing I have learned in being a DFS player and writer it’s that you have to have a short memory and not let a bad slate affect your analysis of the next one.
I had a rough go of it yesterday getting suckered back in by the "potential" of Vici Gaming even though they have shown their true colors too often. I look forward to getting back on track today and helping you all do the same.

5:00 AM: Dominus vs. Jingdong Gaming (-2500)
I'm glad this is the first match of the slate, yesterday was a blood bath for me, and it is nice to dip my toes back into the water with a little lob. I wouldn't be surprised if JDG feels the same way. If you look at the stats, you see that JDG is trending toward the bottom of the table, which is in stark contrast to their spring split. They seem to be having a bit of a hangover from their tremendous run in the spring. They may be a bit down, but they have faced TES and RNG two of the other top of the table teams.
This week as a whole should be a get right spot for the side of JDG. They face RW on Sunday, and should be able to pick up a couple of clean wins. JDG is our premier lane kingdom team in the LPL, and they look to push those advantages earned in the lane around the map. DMO is not the type of organization to counter that style. They can't win in lane or out of lane this is a comfortable 2-0 from the side of JDG

7:00 AM: LGD vs. Invictus Gaming (-180)
Invictus are seemingly back on track after flaming out of both the spring playoffs, and the MSC. The EDG win was impressive as it isn't the type of win that IG usually has. After a marathon game, one that saw the teams go 50 minutes only for IG to get caught out to end the game. That is typically the type of game that would cause IG to int game two and get swept. A little bit of confidence and mental fortitude will go a long way for this IG squad. Invictus came out, smashed game two in 24 minutes, and finished game three in under 30 minutes. They look invigorated, and that's what they will need to take out this LGD squad that went toe to toe with TES in a battle of unbeaten teams the last time we saw them in action. LGD will have the rest of the week off after this match, while IG will be back in action on Thursday vs. FPX.
I would say that IG can be thinking about that FPX match already, but we all know they only have the one brain cell, which should keep them focused on the task at hand. LGD displayed some excellent league of legends themselves vs. TES. Jackeylove and Knight were difference makers as usual as TES took over game two after a close game one.
IG seems to have a bit of an identity this split outside of win game win lane. They have put a lot of presence into their bottom side, and continue to give over rift herald for drakes and turret pressure bot side. I don't know that any of that matters. Puff has played a majority of his games on Aphelios, so that extra attention lets him shine in the late game.
Rookie again is the best performing player on the team, and I think his advantage over Xiye will swing this. I like IG to win this, but the way they have been playing, I believe that LGD will be the play. In their wins, this split IG are averaging only 16 kills, but in losses over 20 deaths. It seems likely that even were IG to pull out the 2-1 win as I expect them to, they likely do not outscore LGD by the amount necessary to put them into winning rosters. It's going to be a pretty straightforward slate, and with a JDG sweep, we left hedging our exposure on the second game.

Summary
- The IG/LGD game should be the better matchup, but the sweep potential in the first matchup swings it a bit, with the bonuses to come in on the side of JDG.
- There are only a few ways to get different on this slate, and -4000 curse nonwithstanding, DMO ain't it chief. You'll have to get creative with some fades, and or some one-offs in your lineups for Tuesday morning.
