LIV Golf Betting Picks - 2025 Dallas

Brooks Koepka - PGA DFS lineup picks daily fantasy golf LIV golf betting picks

Matt Miller's LIV golf betting picks and betting strategies for 2025 Dallas event at Maridoe Golf Club. He digs into the LIV golf betting lines to find the best bets and top values.

The LIV Golf League will hold this week’s event at Maridoe Golf Club. The course is located in Carrolton, Texas and is described on the website as "a private club on 212 acres of Blackland Prairie, surrounding the most extensive private lake in Dallas County." The property was purchased in 2014 and remodeled by Steve Smyers in 2017.

Maridoe Golf Club has hosted a variety of junior and amateur events and most notably hosted the 2024 LIV Golf League team championship. This event was won by Ripper GC, with the 4Aces and Iron Heads finishing tied for second place. Sebastian Munoz shot the lowest individual round of the team championship last season, posting an 8-under 64. Munoz and Carlos Ortiz played their college golf close by and Bryson Dechambeau is from the Dallas area.

The event will take place from Friday to Sunday and will air on the Fox Sports Network, as well as the Fox Sports App and LIV Golf Plus. Globally, the event will be broadcast in over 160 international territories, Live and On-Demand, free of charge, via LIV Golf Plus.

LIV Golf Dallas Course Breakdown

Below is the official Round 1 scorecard provided by LIV Golf.

Hole 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Out
Par 4 5 3 4 4 4 5 3 4 36
Yardage 434 655 206 434 380 337 550 164 497 3657
Hole 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 In
Par 4 3 4 5 3 4 4 5 4 36
Yardage 466 184 475 577 154 441 449 612 528 3886

The course will play as a 7,543 yard par-72. Maridoe has a very links style feel to the course. There is fescue throughout and the greens have large runoff areas in some cases. Players will be required to be creative around the greens in order to have success. Wide misses off the tee can leave players in big trouble.

Despite the potential penalty of inaccuracy off the tee, I still believe the course will be favoring bombers this week. The par-5s will be scoring holes for players, as well as the drivable par-4 sixth hole. Looking at the scorecard, there are three par-4s playing over 475 yards, including the monster 528 yard 18th hole. Longer hitters will have an easier time navigating these crucial holes than shorter hitters, who will have no margin for error.

Representatives from the course are expecting Maridoe to play tough this week and challenge the players. Sebastian Munoz fired an 8-under 64 in the team championships last season so the course is scorable, but I do not expect to see many rounds of that caliber this week. I anticipate a winning score somewhere around the low teens.

I believe this week will be more of a ball strikers test than a putting contest. The course is long and challenging, with any misses tee to green putting players in a difficult position to score. I am focusing on players who are good off the tee and who have been hitting their irons well.

LIV Golf Betting Strategy & Selections - Dallas

Brooks Koepka +2000 (FanDuel)

For the first time in a while, Brooks Koepka showed some life the last time we saw him tee it up. Koepka finished T12 at the U.S. Open and spoke confidently about his game after round one. He stated that he had been working hard on his swing position with coach Pete Cowen and that things are starting to click for him. The five-time major champion is starting to see the ball flight of old and no longer has the two-way miss that has plagued him over the past year.

From a strokes gained perspective, Brooks has been great off the tee. The Smash GC captain has gained strokes off the tee in six straight starts and seven of his last eight. The approach play appeared to click at the U.S. Open and we started to see shades of Brooks Koepka, the world class ball striker. At the U.S. Open Brooks gained strokes in all four major categories for the first time since his second place finish in Singapore in March.

Three of four majors are in the books for the year but Brooks will no doubt look to be locked in for the Open Championship in July. His caddie Rickie Elliot began his caddying career at Royal Portrush, this year's host of the Open Championship. Koepka has won at least one LIV event each of the past three seasons and is starting to round into form to make it a fourth.

Talor Gooch +2900 (FanDuel)

Talor Gooch had his second consecutive top ten finish in his last start at LIV Virginia. From a ball striking perspective, Gooch is starting to put things together. He has gained strokes off the tee in four of his last five starts and on approach in three of his past four. Gooch is not the longest driver of the golf ball but is reliable with accuracy and should avoid trouble off the tee. The three-time LIV winner finished second in the field in driving accuracy in Virginia.

More importantly, the putter is working again. After four straight bad putting events to start the LIV season, Gooch has now gained strokes putting in his last four starts. The flat stick is the secret weapon for Gooch and when he has it rolling, he tends to be in contention more often than not. I fully expect the game to continue to trend upward and Gooch to have a shot on Sunday this week.

Paul Casey +5000 (FanDuel)

I spent a majority of last season chasing what felt like an inevitable Paul Casey victory. Of course that win never came and I've been off Casey in 2025 prior to this week. That said, things are starting to click for the Englishman. Despite rather unconvincing finishing positions, the veteran has been really good with his irons in two of his last three starts. He ranks T6 this year in the LIV Golf League in Green in Regulation percentage.

On top of the irons clicking, Casey had his best week off the tee since June of 2024 in his last start in Virginia. The ball striking seems to be falling into place heading to a links style course, which Casey should be comfortable on as an Englishman. This is also the hometown of team captain Bryson Dechambeau, which should give Casey and the Crushers a little extra motivation to play well.
