The Gameweek 7 deadline for the 2025-26 Fantasy Premier League season is Friday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m. ET, when Bournemouth hosts Fulham. How to Play Fantasy Premier League Guide

Whether it's your first, second, or 20th season playing Fantasy Premier League, don't miss our 'How to Play Fantasy Premier League' Guide for the 2025-26 season. It covers squad building, transfers, and all the new strategies coming to this great game for the upcoming campaign.

Best Captains for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 7

Each gameweek, Euan, Jamie, and Wale will provide their best captaincy pick for the upcoming gameweek in the 2025-26 Fantasy Premier League season.

Wale (The FPL Manual): I'm still thrilled about my decision to triple captain Erling Haaland (£14.4m) in Gameweek 6, and I don't see the need to switch captaincy this week. With Man City travelling to the Gtech Stadium, I'll be backing the Norwegian international to go all-out against Brentford.

Jamie: I’m always a little anxious captaining a player after midweek European fixtures, but I’m still looking at an Arsenal attacking option. The most likely candidate is Bukayo Saka (£9.8m). West Ham’s inability to defend set-pieces makes Saka the likeliest option for a big return.

It’ll take Nuno Espirito Santo more than a few days on the training ground to get the Hammers' defense in order. While I do expect improvement from West Ham, Arsenal still represents the best fantasy options this weekend.

Differential Captains for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 7

Everyone loves to get a little different with the captaincy picks once in a while. Every matchweek, our FPL analysts provide their favorite outside shots for a huge haul.

Wale: Ollie Watkins (£8.7m) took 700 minutes to score in his first game of the season, but he now appears to be a promising pick for Gameweek 7. What an irony!

Burnley will face another difficult trip to Villa Park this weekend after losing 5-1 to Manchester City. This could be an opportunity for Watkins to boost fantasy managers' confidence, as I anticipate him registering an attacking return against the Clarets.

Jamie: With most FPL managers having given up on him, Ollie Watkins (£8.7m) finally provided a return for those who stuck by him. He now gets to build on that with a home game against Burnley.

This is a Burnley side that conceded five at Manchester City last weekend, three at Manchester United on Matchday 3, and three at Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend. Burnley has yet to show defensive prowess on the road, and Watkins could really repay his patient FPL managers this week.

Low-Picked Players for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 7

Going with the herd can sometimes get boring. From Gameweek 1 to Gameweek 38, Wale, Jamie, and Euan will reveal their favorite FPL player, picked in fewer than 5 percent of Fantasy Premier League teams.

Wale: Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) is my go-to differential this week. He provides a level of stability in terms of guaranteed minutes, and regardless of which system Eddie Howe switches to, whether it be a back three or a traditional 4-3-3 formation, Gordon will start ahead of his teammates, Harvey Barnes, and Anthony Elanga.

With only 1.2% ownership and a favorable home tie against out-of-form Nottingham, Gordon appears to be an exciting differential pick for those looking for a boost to their fantasy team.

Jamie: I mentioned Anton Stach (£5.0m) as a differential option a couple of weeks ago, and he repaid me with a goal and an assist. Stach is Leeds United’s highest points scorer (31) this season and has a pretty friendly run of fixtures up until the international break.

Leeds’ home form has been solid, and they’ll fancy their chances of picking up more points against Tottenham this weekend. While Spurs only face Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League, the travel and impact of playing on an artificial pitch will be a detriment and something Leeds could capitalise on.

It's our fourth season covering Fantasy Premier League, so reach out to @TheFPLManual, @Baseball_Jimbo, @TheFPLBois, @F1FantasyEuan, or @df_solutions on X to let us know what you think about our coverage for the 2025-26 FPL season.
