Wale's Team Reveal for FPL Gameweek 1
Captain: Mohamed Salah vs. Bournemouth
Vice Captain: Cole Palmer vs. Crystal Palace
Transfers: N/A
After over a dozen draft picks, I'm reasonably satisfied with this squad for the first five to six weeks. I have four premium picks (Mo Salah, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, and Ollie Watkins), two rotating keepers, and Elliott Anderson, who is a DefCon favorite.
Bruno Fernandes could come in for Saka by Gameweek 3, should Man United pick up form. I have plans for an early Wildcard/Free Hit chip by Gameweek 6 when Man City hosts Burnley.
Jamie's Team Reveal for FPL Gameweek 1
Captain: Erling Haaland at Wolves
Vice Captain: Joao Pedro vs. Crystal Palace
Transfers: N/A
As is my usual MO, I've gone heavy in midfield and attack to begin the year. I find it easier to tinker with the squad in the early weeks if I have a 'top-heavy' team, but still feel the balance is there to start the campaign strong.
Euan's Team Reveal for FPL Gameweek 1
Captain: Mohamed Salah vs. Bournemouth
Vice Captain: Mohammed Kudus vs. Burnley
Transfers: N/A
There's a lot that can change between now and Friday's deadline, but I like the core of my squad for the 2025-26 Fantasy Premier League season. The squad's weakest point is the forward line, which includes speculative picks in Igor Thiago and Marc Guiu. I can see myself moving Elliott Anderson into midfield and playing a 4-5-1 to begin the year.
Also, if Sunderland gives us a hint that Marc Guiu will get some playing time in Gameweek 1, I'm likely activating my Bench Boost. If I decide not to play that chip, Mikey Van de Ven and Mohammed Kudus from Spurs may not make the final 15 before the first deadline of the Fantasy Premier League season.
