Fantasy Basketball Category Streamers for Week 4: Hassan Whiteside, Luke Kennard, Anfernee Simons, Kenyon Martin Jr.

Week 4 fantasy basketball streamers based on H2H 9-category leagues for the 2021-2022 NBA season. Keith Cork recommends guards, forwards and centers to target through waivers or free agency in fantasy leagues who may help in specific categories.

A good week last week with category streamers, with guys you should still be hanging onto like Franz Wagner, Grayson Allen, and Jalen Brunson. It's crazy what you can find on the waiver wire when you're really looking, so I hope you're locked in here with me for another round of category streamers!

We're going to want to fade the Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards as those are the only two teams with two games this week. Sixteen teams have four games this week, so we'll try to focus on those. Let's go win some categories.

Our staff at RotoBaller has great insight and daily columns on how to improve your squad and tips to make your team successful, so be sure to check them out. Now, let's get prepared for the upcoming week and go win your leagues. All players in this article are rostered at 50 percent or less.

Week 4 Standard 9-Category Leagues

Columns are written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues:

FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE

Kenyon Martin Jr. - SF - Houston Rockets (5% rostered)

As I'm writing this, the Rockets are making life hard for the Denver Nuggets. KJ Martin has been slowly ramping up his minutes in the rotation, and if he can reach a 25-minute role per night, watch out. He will be a great source of scoring, blocks, and rebounds as well as a good field goal percentage. He's a career 52.5% shooter.

Other streamers:

FREE THROW PERCENTAGE

Luke Kennard - SG/SF - Los Angeles Clippers (23% rostered)

This is Luke Kennard's second week in a row as a streamer in this category, and since we last wrote about him he has 30, 28, and 21 minutes. He's certainly worth a roster spot if we can count on 28 or more minutes from the guard, but his role remains somewhat fluid. Still, he can contribute in points, free throw percentage, and threes, with a sprinkling of assists.

Other streamers:

POINTS

Anfernee Simons - PG/SG - Portland Trail Blazers (33% rostered)

Anfernee Simons shot up 19% in ownership over the last day on Yahoo! and it's for good reason. He's locked into a 22ish minute role and he is playing closer to 30 on some nights. On the season he's scoring 14 points per game and over the last five, he's scoring 15.4 points. He's hitting plenty of threes right now and contributing enough rebounds and assists to be worth a spot on your roster. Go scoop him up if you need guard stats.

Other streamers:

  • Grayson Allen - SG/SF - Milwaukee Bucks (44% rostered)
  • Eric Gordon - SG/SF - Houston Rockets (24% rostered)
  • Derrick Rose - PG/SG - New York Knicks (48% rostered)
  • Furkan Korkmaz - SG/SF - Philadelphia 76ers (11% rostered)

THREE-POINTERS

Grayson Allen - SG/SF - Milwaukee Bucks (44% rostered)

This is Grayson Allen's second week topping this category and he really should be on someone's roster for the time being. The problem is that you need to be a team that needs threes because that's the one thing he contributes and he doesn't do a whole lot outside of that. The points are there as well since he's hitting threes, but even with Jrue Holiday back he's going to contribute in that category. He's also great for your free throw percentage, though he doesn't get there a ton.

Other streamers:

  • Malik Beasley - PG/SG - Minnesota Timberwolves (33% rostered)
  • Luke Kennard - SG/SF - Los Angeles Clippers (23% rostered)
  • Anfernee Simons - PG/SG - Portland Trail Blazers (33% rostered)
  • Georges Niang - SF/PF - Philadelphia 76ers (31% rostered)

REBOUNDS

Hassan Whiteside - PF/C - Utah Jazz (42% rostered)

Precious Achiuwa is technically a better option, but with Pascal Siakam probable for the next Raptors game as I write this article, I'd rather suggest picking up Hassan Whiteside for those in need of rebounds. He's been a very solid backup for Rudy Gobert and has averaged 7.7 rebounds on the season. Obviously, he provides blocks as well.

Other streamers:

  • Jarred Vanderbilt - PF/C - Minnesota Timberwolves (10% rostered)
  • Nicolas Batum - SF/PF - Los Angeles Clippers (43% rostered)
  • Darius Bazley - SF/PF - Oklahoma City Thunder (31% rostered)
  • Derrick Favors - C - Oklahoma City Thunder (30% rostered)
  • Bobby Portis - PF/C - Milwaukee Bucks (49% rostered)

ASSISTS

Patrick Beverley - PG/SG - Minnesota Timberwolves (13% rostered)

Patrick Beverley has been getting some increased opportunities with D'Angelo Russell on the sidelines, so this is just a short-term streamer option, but it's a good one. Pat Bev is capable of putting up seven or eight assists on a given night and will nail some threes for your team. Go get him in the short term and once D'Lo is back, it's okay to hang onto him for a game or two to see how his role looks. He had six and seven assists in a 20ish minute role even when D'Lo was playing.

Other streamers:

STEALS

Alex Caruso - PG/SG - Chicago Bulls (48% rostered)

The second week atop this category and Alex Caruso still isn't over 50% owned?!?! Go change that. The Bulls are relying on him heavily, playing him 32 minutes two games in a row. Percentages are good, assists are great, and the steals are elite. Seriously, this dude shouldn't be sitting on your wire.

Other streamers:

  • Eric Bledsoe - PG/SG - Los Angeles Clippers (30% rostered)
  • Royce O'Neale - SF/PF - Utah Jazz (28% rostered)
  • Devin Vassell - SG - San Antonio Spurs (30% rostered)
  • Bruce Brown - SG - Brooklyn Nets (7% rostered)

BLOCKS

Hassan Whiteside - PF/C - Utah Jazz (42% rostered)

Hassan Whiteside has been mentioned before, but it begs repeating that if you require big men stats you can't do better than this perennially slept on fantasy asset. His minutes aren't eye-popping, but he's still fantasy relevant and if Rudy Gobert ever gets injured, look out. He could step into a huge role. He doesn't belong on the waiver wire at this point.

Other streamers:

  • Derrick Jones Jr. - SG/SF - Chicago Bulls (5% rostered)
  • LaMarcus Aldridge - PF/C - Brooklyn Nets (50% rostered)
  • Drew Eubanks - PF/C - San Antonio Spurs (6% rostered)
  • DeAndre Jordan - C- Los Angeles Lakers (12% rostered)
