Early DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/14/23)

Marvin Harrison Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, WR, NFL Draft Sleepers

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the early slate on Saturday (10/14/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

The last great college football season rolls into Week 7 this week. We have a smaller slate with 12 games on tap for the early main slate on DraftKings. Most teams are in conference play now and we have no FCS teams on the slate. In fact, this slate is made entirely of Power Five schools. We start off in Tallahassee with the Orange coming to town. Iowa State heads to Cincinnati. Arkansas finds their way to Tuscaloosa for a beating. Georgia heads up to Nashville to take on Vandy. Indiana heads to the Big House to take on Michigan. We close the nooners out with Ohio State in West Lafayette.

We start the afternoon in Salt Lake City with Cal in town. Kansas heads down to Stillwater to take on the Pokes. The Aggies head to Knoxville to take on Tennessee. Maryland hosts Illinois. We have a huge one in Seattle with Duck U flying up from Eugene. We close this out in Madison with Iowa in town.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/14/23, locking at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Michael Penix, Washington ($10,200)

That is what I see with Penix. That is why I'll use him against anyone. Oregon's defense is better than usual this season, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that Penix is the best quarterback in the country as far as pure passers go. This is a big test for him and the Huskies, but this is where the big ones shine. Once upon a time, this was Penix at Indiana. This is his defining moment at Washington.

Alan Bowman, Oklahoma State ($7,000)

The Texas Tech transfer has finally taken the job for his own. Bowman hasn't had a great game as a starter, but Kansas State and Iowa State's defenses are near the top of the Big 12(14). The going should be a little easier against Kansas here. We should see Bowman's best game as a Cowboy so far.

Rocco Becht, Iowa State ($5,300)

Becht is still going to have his ups and downs. It has been mostly up so far. Becht isn't going to break a slate, but he has a safe floor for a value play and hit 28.92 DraftKings points against Oklahoma State. The Cyclones are content to run the ball, but Becht's efficient passing can work for DFS if you need the cash for a high-priced stack.

Also consider: Jordan Travis, Florida State ($9,000); Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland (8,200); Emory Jones, Cincinnati ($7,300); Jason Bean, Kansas ($7,000); Max Johnson, Texas A&M ($6,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Braelon Allen, Wisconsin ($8,300)

The absence of Chez Mellusi is going to return Braelon Allen to workhorse status like he was in 2022. I don't see him getting 25-30 carries in this offense, but Allen has repeatedly proven that he can put up a ton of DFS points with 15-20 carries and a couple of receptions. The Badgers are going to have to run against Iowa. I can see a path to a large workload for Allen today. Don't expect a huge game, but he might find the end zone a time or two.

Ollie Gordon, Oklahoma State ($6,200)

Good things happen when Oklahoma State has a running back that can carry the load. That guy is Ollie Gordon. It took him a bit to separate himself from this pack, but Gordon has 257 yards on 39 carries in the last two games. He has also hauled in five passes. Gordon only has one touchdown in that span, but volume is king. Kansas is the worst defense the Pokes have faced since Week 2.

Le'Veon Moss, Texas A&M ($5,300)

The track stars at receiver for the Aggies get most of the attention, but Moss has quietly separated himself from the rest of the backfield. He has 48 carries over the last three games for 253 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has also hauled in five passes for a few more free points. He got those tough yards against Alabama but looked explosive against Arkansas and Auburn – both good defenses in their own right. Tennessee's defense is better than last year, but that's not saying much. There are yards to be had in Knoxville.

Also consider: Blake Corum, Michigan ($8,400); Devin Neal, Kansas ($6,700); Roman Hemby, Maryland ($6,500); LeQuint Allen, Syracuse ($6,100); Dillon Johnson, Washington ($5,800); Leshon Williams, Iowa ($4,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State ($8,500)

It's not a coincidence that Kyle McCord won the starting job when he realized Harrison was on his team. McCord's gradually better games have been the result of Harrison's increasing target load. He led the Buckeyes back against Maryland and will torch the Purdue secondary. Harrison has at least 120 receiving yards in three of the last four games and has scored four touchdowns in that span.

Jalen McMillan, Washington ($7,000)

McMillan led the Huskies in targets up until his injury in Week 3 against Michigan State. He was expected back the next week against Cal...and here we are. No one ever said what was ailing McMillan, but word around Huskies camp is that he will play. I'm assuming that Washington wouldn't throw McMillan out there unless he was healthy. If that's the case, he should be the guy you want over Rome Odunze.

Isaiah Williams, Illinois ($5,500)

If Illinois has any prayer in this game, they are going to have to have some success throwing the ball. Williams is the possession receiver for the Illini and the one most likely to get the sure points. He has at least five receptions in every game this season. It's a bit disappointing that he hasn't scored a touchdown yet, but Williams still has at least a dozen DraftKings points in every game. That's a good return for the price.

Ainias Smith, Texas A&M ($5,100)

Smith is often the forgotten man by fans and DFS players alike with Evan Stewart opposite him. That actually helps him out for DFS purposes. Smith has at least 70 yards in four straight games. That's a really good return at this price point. The Aggies will need to throw against Tennessee and I expect Smith to be heavily targeted once again.

Also consider: Troy Franklin, Oregon ($8,100); Brock Bowers, Georgia ($7,400); Keon Coleman, Florida State ($6,900); Squirrel White, Tennessee ($6,000); Isaiah Bond, Alabama ($5,700); Jeshaun Jones, Maryland ($5,400); Ty Washington, Arkansas ($4,300); Erick All, Iowa ($4,300)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

Georgia

If Georgia pours it on, they could break the slate. That's the issue: they have only covered one spread all season. That was last week. Still, Georgia is reasonably priced starting with Carson Beck. Daijun Edwards gets the lion's share of the carries in the backfield. If you use Beck, you need at least one receiver. Bowers is the popular one, but he is also far more expensive. I like adding another Georgia receiver on the cheap Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint sees a lot of targets and is just a shade over $5,000.

Ohio State

Purdue's defense is the worst on the slate, but an Ohio State stack is going to set you back a large percentage of your salary. Even McCord is priced up in this matchup. If you use both McCord and Harrison, you'll need a cheaper option. Chip Trayanum is the goalline back, but that's risky. Cade Stover or Julian Fleming seem like better options with Emeka Egbuka out.

Also consider: Washington, Florida State, Oregon
