DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/30/23): MLB DFS Lineups

The top early-slate daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on June 30, 2023. Nick's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Hey, RotoBallers! We have another packed Friday main slate ahead of us to break down. As usual, we'll start with the pitchers, go to infielders and outfielders, and then stacks. This should be another really fun slate of action, let's get to it!

This article contains my picks for the main slates on June 30, 2023, for DraftKings and FanDuel slates, which lock at 7:05 ET.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jon Gray, TEX vs. HOU ($9,300 DK, $10,000 FD)

Gray was in line to start yesterday but got an extra day of rest. He's my favorite pitcher on both sites tonight. While Houston scored 14 runs last night, they didn't face Gray, who is underpriced on both sites. His last two starts have been mediocre, but Gray had a streak of four consecutive starts with at least 20 DraftKings points before that.

Gray has faced Houston once already this year but had to leave that start after only two innings due to injury. He has a 2.89 ERA this year and is much cheaper than Tampa Bay's Shane McClanahan tonight.

Freddy Peralta, MIL at PIT ($9,700 DK, $9,200 FD)

Peralta is another solid option tonight. He doesn't work deep into games as he's yet to complete seven innings in his 15 starts this year. Peralta does have strikeout upside, though. He has struck out at least nine batters in two of his last four starts, which has led to him having at least 20 DraftKings points in two of his last four starts.

On a slate like tonight where there aren't many options that can rival the upside of McClanahan at a lower price point, Peralta is certainly one of them.

Others to consider: Carlos Carrasco ($6,000 DK, $6,400 FD) vs. SFG

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani - 1B/OF, LAA vs. ARI ($6,500 DK, $4,600 FD)

Ohtani is only first base eligible on DraftKings, but he makes for a great play on both sites tonight. His 14 home runs already in June have essentially locked up the American League MVP award for him already. He's showing no signs of slowing down. Ohtani has a home matchup with Arizona's Tommy Henry, who has allowed a .197 ISO to left-handed hitters this season. Ohtani has a ridiculous .321 ISO against left-handed pitching this season.

Max Muncy - 3B, LAD at KC ($5,000 DK, $3,300 FD)

Muncy is underpriced so he should be popular on both sites tonight. He's still a good play, though. Alec Marsh will be making his Major League debut for the Royals tonight after starting the season in Double-A. His 4.33 xFIP with Double-A and 4.28 xFIP with Triple-A this year don't exactly point to him having success against the Dodgers in his first Major League start. Muncy has a .295 ISO against right-handed pitching this year.

Spencer Torkelson - 1B, DET at COL ($4,000 DK, $3,100 FD)

Torkelson hit two home runs yesterday against the Texas Rangers. He had the day off the day before and before that, he hit one home run. So he has three home runs in his last two games if you're following along. Now he's got a great matchup at Coors Field against Austin Gomber, who has allowed a .239 ISO to right-handed hitters this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronald Acuna Jr. - OF, ATL vs. MIA ($6,600 DK, $4,500 FD)

While Acuna Jr. has hit more home runs on the road this year, he's still hitting .311 with 17 stolen bases at home this year. Historically, he's performed better at home and has had great success against the Miami Marlins. He's expensive on both sites and the Braves are always popular, but he's certainly one of the best spend-up options in the outfield tonight.

Christian Yelich - OF, MIL at PIT ($4,400 DK, $3,400 FD)

Osvaldo Bido has a 3.45 ERA for the Pirates after three starts, but his xFIP was 5.26 in Triple-A this year. As a 27-year-old rookie, I don't think we can really expect Bido to continue to have success at the big league level. Yelich has quietly been productive this year with a .186 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. He's underpriced for his expectation on both sites and in a pretty good spot tonight.

Matt Vierling - OF, DET at COL ($3,500 DK, $3,100 FD)

Vierling's price has seen a little bit of a bump with the Tigers going to Coors Field tonight. The matchup with Austin Gomber is very good for Vierling, who should slot in once again as the Tigers' leadoff man. Gomber has an 8.72 ERA at home this year and has allowed a .239 ISO to right-handed hitters this season. It doesn't really get much better than that on paper.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Atlanta Braves vs. Bryan Hoeing

Hoeing has a 2.31 ERA this year, but his xFIP is 4.45. He's due for regression and facing the Atlanta Braves on the road. This is simply not the spot you want to be in if you're a pitcher, but it makes Atlanta my top stack tonight. The Braves won't be sneaky by any means, but they're priced up so potentially that could keep their rostership somewhat in check.

Also consider: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Alec Marsh

Marsh is making his Major League debut here. While the Dodgers were just playing the Rockies in Coors Field, this offense has still been on fire lately. Los Angeles is one of the best offenses in the league anyway as the Dodgers are third in the league in runs per game on the road with 5.56.

Sneaky stack: Kansas City Royals vs. Bobby Miller

Miller has allowed at least six earned runs in each of his last two starts. The Royals are at home and include plenty of cheap players making this stack easy to fit with an expensive stack and expensive pitchers.
