DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (9/11/21 Primetime)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the prime time slate on 9/11/21. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

Our Saturday prime time slate is a little bit bigger than in week 1. We don't have the top-five matchup that the opening week had, but we do have some intriguing matchups. Oklahoma and Louisville are slumming with 1-AA teams, but we could still find a decent option or two in there. I'm more interested in an old SWC tilt between Texas and Arkansas.

We follow that up with two powerful offenses in North Carolina State and Mississippi State. Appalachian State heads to South Beach this time after having the Hurricanes in Boone (with people climbing trees to watch) in 2019. Eastern Michigan heads west to Camp Randall. Missouri heads to Lexington to take on what looks like a potent Kentucky offense. We cap this slate off with Washington, fresh off a loss to Montana, heading to the Big House. This is going to be a blast!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/11/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

 

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Hudson Card, Texas ($7,200)

Why pay a premium for a couple of quarterbacks that will play three quarters, tops? Card was efficiently good for the Longhorns in his first start. The thing that stood out to me was that he really didn't make any mistakes. The Longhorns will likely bring him along slowly, especially since the running game was so effective against Louisiana. I'll take another efficiently good game against a team like Arkansas at this price.

Will Levis, Kentucky ($6,300)

It's amazing what happens when you put a quarterback into an offense that relies on them. Levis looked lost at Penn State most of last year, but he was impressive in his Kentucky debut. There's a lot of talent in this Wildcats offense. The Missouri defense is still a solid unit, but Kentucky has playmakers all over the field this year. Levis and his deep arm with those speedster receivers are going to be a problem for Missouri in their trip to the Commonwealth.

K.J. Jefferson, Arkansas ($5,900)

Jefferson wont find the running lanes against Texas that he found against Rice, but he should still get enough rushing yards to give him a solid floor. That's a pretty nice find at this price. Levi Lewis put up solid numbers against the Longhorns, so there is hope for Jefferson. Lewis is a better passer, but they both are very good runners. If Jefferson can get us a line near what Lewis did, we'll be off to a good start.

Also consider: Spencer Rattler, Oklahoma ($9,900); Malik Cunningham, Louisville ($7,800); Will Rogers, Mississippi State ($6,400)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Chris Rodriguez Jr., Kentucky ($7,800)

Missouri was gashed by Central Michigan on the ground. The Tigers gave up 174 rushing yards, and that's subtracting the 67 sack yards lost by Jacob Sirmon. Kentucky, despite all of the aerial theatrics in the opener, are still a run-first team. The Wildcats used Rodriguez as the horse, meaning he could be in for a huge game here. Lew Nichols ran well against Missouri, and though he is a good back, he is nowhere near the caliber of Rodriguez.

Jo'Quavious Marks, Mississippi State ($6,400)

Marks' 71 rushing yards on 12 carries seems rather pedestrian, but he caught a staggering nine passes and scored three total touchdowns. He's a threat all over the field. the Wolfpack defense looked the part in the opener, but South Florida is nowhere near the Bulldogs. Marks is going to be a nightmare for the Wolfpack and a serendipitous dream for us DFS players.

Ricky Person Jr., North Carolina State ($6,100)

Both Person and Bam Knight had monster games in the opener. The Mississippi State run defense locked down Louisiana Tech's rushing attack outside of a couple of longer runs by quarterback Austin Kendall. I'm hesitant to use either back, but Person was such a factor in the passing game as well that he should be able to put up decent numbers even if Mississippi State ends up stopping the run again. The Bulldogs will have less success here, but I have a hard time seeing both Knight and Person being optimal again. I'm opting for the one that is more active in the passing game.

Tyler Badie, Missouri ($4,900)

Kentucky's defense is a strong unit, but this price on Badie is absurd. He carried 25 times for 203 yards in the opener and tacked on another 40 receiving yards. He's putting up numbers better than Larry Rountree did after just one game. It will be tougher sledding against Kentucky, but Badie is by far the biggest piece of the Missouri offense. He is a guaranteed workhorse at a backup's price. Lock him in!

Also consider: Bijan Robinson, Texas ($7,700); Chez Mellusi, Wisconsin ($6,300); Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma ($5,800); Nate Noel, Appalachian State ($5,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Jaden Walley, Mississippi State ($6,400)

His four receptions were a bit of a disappointment considering how many passes Mississippi State threw, but he still found the end zone. That's the important part. Only two of Walley's 52 receptions last year found the end zone. He appears to be one of the favorite targets of Will Rogers in the red zone. I know he'll see his share of targets in another game where the Bulldogs will have to throw to keep up.

Wan'Dale Robinson, Kentucky ($5,700)

It's amazing what having a quarterback that can hit receivers in stride can do for a burner like Robinson, huh? He didn't have that luxury at Nebraska last year. I'm a huge fan of both Robinson and Josh Ali here. Both will get a lot of targets in this game. Missouri allowed 301 passing yards in the opener as well. That defense was very liberal with the yards they allowed in the opener. I see a lot of Kentucky players having good DFS games here.

Jordan Whittington, Texas ($5,300)

Whittington and Card seem to have developed quite a rapport already. He hauled in seven passes for 113 yards and a score while Josh Moore was only targeted five times. Whittington seems firmly atop Card's pecking order. He's too cheap heading into a game against Arkansas where Texas should have more success through the air than on the ground.

Makai Polk, Mississippi State ($3,800)

$3,800 for a guy that caught ten passes in the opener? Hell yes! I don't care that Polk only averaged 5.7 yards per catch or didn't reach the end zone. 10 receptions is double-digit points on its own for a guy that is dirt cheap. I'll take it!

Also consider: Marvin Mims, Oklahoma ($8,300); Cornelius Johnson, Michigan ($6,200); Thomas Hennigan, Appalachian State ($5,100); Jadon Haselwood, Oklahoma ($4,900)
