BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 13% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: We're entering the once-last week of the season this upcoming slate, but the championship fantasy week in most leagues these days. It's not that with 16 weeks already on the books you can expect to find glossy, flashy players sitting in the WW, so you gotta squeeze the value of the still-available group of guys out there. One of them: Donovan Peoples-Jones, if only because of his role/situation as part of the lowly and barren of talent Browns' offense.
DPJ hasn't been great through the season, I know, but he's got the 14th-most targets in the past three weeks of play and the 11th-most among players at the WR position exclusively. Again, the production hasn't been otherworldly as he's caught just 10-of-21 passes for 143 yards, but the truth is that he cannot be getting more opportunities. Most fantasy GMs will look at DPJ's last Saturday's PPR points (1.5) and run away from Donovan. Don't fall for that, it's a trap. In the prior two games, DPJ played above his season-average 7.7 FPPG and scored himself 14 and 8.8 FP tallies.
Peoples-Jones put up a 7-5-90 line against Baltimore in W14 and then followed that up with an 8-4-48 outing a week later against Las Vegas. He didn't do a lot against GB on Saturday, but he still got 6 targets on the day. The 57% catch rate isn't great, but in games in which DPJ has caught 3+ passes, he's racked up an average of 77 receiving yards. With Cleveland facing a below-average defense against fantasy WRs (Pittsburgh) next week, odds are DPJ bounces back a bit and provides enough FP to consider him a worthy Flex play in deeper formats.
