DFS Lineup Picks Recap from Week 3 of FanDuel Football

Each week here at RotoBaller, we provide the subscribers of our DFS Lineup Picks of the Week Newsletter with some of the highest quality advice for salary cap fantasy football on FanDuel.

Why We Love Weekly Fantasy Football

Are you looking for some more fantasy football action, and want to get involved in weekly DFS games on FanDuel? I know I am. Are you one of those people whose fantasy football team is sporting a lackluster record through the first three weeks of the 2014 NFL season? Have you already been eliminated in your fantasy baseball leagues, or not that happy with the team you drafted this year in fantasy football? Maybe you are a frustrated Adrian Peterson, Ryan Mathews or Knowshon Moreno owner (just to mention a few injury disappointments). Well we have the perfect remedy for your fantasy football appetite.

The weekly format of FanDuel fantasy football is just what the doctor ordered. Draft a new team each week, and battle it out against your friends or as many opponents as you please on FanDuel. It's my favorite way to supplement my fantasy football teams, and plug-and-play guys that I wish I owned in my leagues on a weekly basis. After all there's nothing like owning Megatron or LeSean McCoy for one week, when you missed out on them in all of your season-long fantasy football leagues.

Looking for An Edge?

If you play salary cap leagues on FanDuel, then our expert picks can give you the edge you need to win. Each week we analyze the player matchups, and the associated pricing on FanDuel, to identify the sleepers and value picks to put together a winning lineup. With each newsletter, you will receive our well-researched weekly picks for each position, with both a “Strong Play” and a “Value Play”, and we will also include two or three budget buster tournament plays for each position. All in all, you will be receiving a minimum of 12 of our expertly hand-picked recommendations for your gaming pleasure!

We’ve reprinted some of RotoBaller’s lineup picks from last week’s subscribers-only exclusive newsletter to give you an idea of the FanDuel analysis that we put forward each and every week. As you can see below, our experts had some sweet recommendations for Week 3 lineups, so hopefully you got in on the action! And if not, no worries, there’s still plenty of time for Week 3 and beyond.

A Recap of Some DFS Lineup Picks from Week 3

QB (Strong) – Russell Wilson ($8,300) - The rematch of last year's Super Bowl is upon us and this week's strong quarterback recommendation for DFS play is none other than the young prodigy, Mr. Russell Wilson. Besides all of the rematch nostalgia, he's facing Denver's pretty lowly secondary at home with the added benefit of the 12th man. Having given up the 4th most passing yards thus far (301 yards per game average), Denver is not looking strong defending the passing game, setting this up to be a potential shootout. Wilson is Projected as a top 5 performer for Week 3, but priced as the 9th most expensive, so we know there is a nice margin for a large return on investment. Get him in with confidence if you don't want to pay for Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck.

Result: 258 passing yards, 40 rushing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT - HIT

QB (Bonus) - Kirk Cousins ($6,800) - We know this recommendation may be a bit surprising, but the the Las Vegas projected scoring totals are very high for this game and we view RG3's replacement as a great tournament buster. Only use this slightly riskier play if you are going big at wide receiver with options like Calvin Johnson or Jordy Nelson.

Result: 427 passing yards, 5 rushing yards, 3 TD, 1 INT - BULLSEYE

WR (Bonus) - Jeremy Maclin ($6,300)- It's no shock that we are sitting here in Week 3 recommending the Eagles best wide receiver, but his 142 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns thus far speak for themselves. Even though the Redskins have played the pass pretty tough thus far, the Vegas scoring totals are high and it's almost a sure shot for Jeremy Maclin to be heavily involved in the action.

Result: 8 receptions, 154 receiving yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE

WR (Value) - Julian Edelman ($6,900) - Whether we like it or not, Julian Edelman is Tom Brady's favorite target at the moment and that counts for quite a bit in PPR leagues. With 12 receptions, 176 receiving yards and 1 touchdown through his first two starts, the Raiders and their horrific defense are looking like a pristine matchup in Week 3, so get this undervalued stud into your mix and make yourself look very smart.

Result: 10 receptions, 84 receiving yards, 5 rushing yards - BULLSEYE

WR (Value) - Mike Wallace ($6,500) - With two nice performances under his belt, it's safe to say we can officially trust the former Steelers great with our WR2 or WR3 slot every week. Going up against a shockingly bad Chiefs secondary, we like his chances to go big with the Dolphins running game in shambles at the moment.

Result: 5 receptions, 74 receiving yards, 12 rushing yards - HIT

RB (Strong) - DeMarco Murray ($8,700) - Arguably the NFL's best running back through 2 games, Demarco Murray is poised for another big week as he goes to another indoor stadium to take on the Rams and their porous run defense. Letting up 342 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns thus far, the Rams are going to have their hands full with this greatly undervalued RB1 in Week 3.

Result: 100 rushing yards, 4 receptions, 31 receiving yards, 1 TD, 1 FUM - BULLSEYE

RB (Budget Buster) - Ahmad Bradshaw ($5,200) - A very sneaky play for Week 3, Ahmad Bradshaw has done his share of fantasy work by chipping in with 10 receptions, 2 receiving touchdowns and 85 yards rushing through 2 games. Since we are completely faithless in Trent Richardson (rightfully so at that), and the Jaguars have let up 336 yards on the ground thus far (good for 7th worst in the league), we think this former Giants great is finally playing healthy again and a great budget buster for Week 3.

Result: 65 rushing yards, 2 receptions, 18 receiving yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE

Martellus Bennett - ($6,000) - Huge target that seems to find his way into the end zone.

Result: 5 receptions, 54 receiving yards, 2 TD - BULLSEYE
