The 2024 NFL Draft saw a dominance of offensive players, with six quarterbacks getting selected within the first 12 picks in the first round. Brock Bowers was the only tight end who got drafted in the first round, but multiple teams were able to acquire some talented prospects in the latter rounds of the draft. 

Ben Sinnott and Ja'Tavion Sanders were the other highly regarded tight ends in this year's class, along with Bowers. Last year, we saw Sam LaPorta make an instant impact in the NFL during his rookie season, and the fantasy football managers who drafted him benefited from his production.

Brock Bowers 2024 Fantasy Outlook

Brock Bowers was the consensus-best tight end available in this year's draft. The Las Vegas Raiders drafted him with the 13th overall pick and will line him up alongside Michael Meyer at the tight end position.

The Raiders have very good players in skill positions, but there is still a big question mark about their quarterback. Either Aidan O'Connell or Gardner Minshew will be under center for the Raiders in 2024, and if they fail to perform, then managers who draft players like Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, or Bowers might suffer. 

If O'Connell or Minshew play well, then there is no doubt that the Georgia product will have a monster rookie season. Although the Raiders have Meyer, they can use Bowers in various offensive ways, and their first-round selection will see a lot of playing time in his rookie season.

Ben Sinnott 2024 Fantasy Outlook

The Washington Commanders drafted Ben Sinnott with the 53rd overall pick in this year's draft. The franchise also has Zach Ertz on their roster, but the Kansas State product will likely be their TE1 as the season progresses. 

In his last year in college, Sinnott had 49 receptions for 676 yards and scored six touchdowns in 12 games. He could possibly have a similar impact as LaPorta had for the Lions last year, and with Jayden Daniels under center, the 21-year-old tight end will not be short of targets. 

The Commanders have players like Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Austin Ekeler around their rookies, who will make their transition to the NFL much easier. Expect a big season from Sinnott, as he will play a huge role in Daniels' push for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Ja’Tavion Sanders 2024 Fantasy Outlook

In this year's draft, Ja'Tavion Sanders was the fourth tight off the board, and the Carolina Panthers selected him with the 101st overall pick. The 6-foot-4 Texas product weighed 245 lbs at the NFL Combine and had a 40-yard dash timing of 4.69.

Sanders will likely begin the season as the Panthers' TE2 behind Tommy Tremble, but he has the potential to become their TE1 in the near future. The NFC South franchise did great work this offseason to surround Bryce Young with better players, and the 21-year-old tight end could play a huge role in what is expected to be a pass-heavy offense under head coach Dave Canales. 

During his last year at Texas, Sanders recorded 45 receptions for 682 yards and scored two touchdowns in 14 games, averaging 15.2 yards per reception. He has the skill set to thrive in the NFL and will be a valuable addition for fantasy managers in the latter rounds of their draft.
