BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 25% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you're still alive in the playoffs, and need a boost entering the final game day of the fantasy season, I don't think you can find a tastier player than Allen Lazard at the wide receiver position still available in three of every four Yahoo leagues at this point. Of course, Lazard shouldn't be your league-winning play next weekend because he's not such a steadily great performer, but he comes with a rather high ceiling and upside for an explosion as part of an always-threatening Aaron Rodgers-led offense.
Lazard has scored 13.8+ PPR points in two of his last three games, all after the W13 bye. He's been getting 4+ targets pretty much every day he's been out there on the gridiron, nearly always plays 60%+ of the offensive snaps, and has caught 2+ passes in all past four games he's appeared into. As I said in the intro, you can't totally trust Lazard weekly (there is a reason his rostership is down at 25%...) but he's shown flashes here and there that have his ceiling at around a very healthy 20 PPR points. He hit that mark in W14 (20.9 on a 7-6-75-1 receiving day) while putting up 13.9 this past Saturday with a 5-2-45-1 line.
While Lazar has had some duds throughout the season (1.6, 3.3, and 4.8 PPR tallies in three of his last five outings) the truth is that he came back from that week of rest energized and playing his best football of the year. He has also rushed the rock once in each of the past three games for 14, 5, and 13 bonus yards, something you can't really hate. The five touchdowns on the year, even on not-so-many opportunities tell you all you need to know about Rodgers' positive impact on Lazard's value. Definitely not the worst of WW targets to fill the WR3/Flex slot in the championship week for those in deeper leagues.
