2026 Dynasty Fantasy Football Orphan Teams: Claim An Existing Dynasty Team On FFPC

Lamar Jackson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Adopt a 2026 fantasy football dynasty orphan team on FFPC. The FFPC (Fantasy Football Players Championship) is the destination for fantasy players to compete in dynasty leagues.

The 2025 fantasy football season has come to an end, but if you are not in a dynasty league, now is the time to jump in by claiming an orphan team at the Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC). Buying and reshaping a Fantasy Football “Orphan” team is a new and highly compelling challenge to embrace for those looking for a fresh and competitive way to play.

In traditional fantasy football leagues, you draft your team from scratch every season. In this scenario, fantasy football gamers will have to do what real NFL owners, GMs, and coaches do -- take over an existing team and build it with the available pieces and resources at hand. This is a fun and unique challenge, and it will give you an idea of what it feels like to take over for another manager who may or may not have had success before putting their team up for sale.

Below, read about how to claim an FFPC Orphan team, and we'll dive into a real-life example of a team you could consider purchasing.

FFPC Dynasty Orphan Teams: Turn The Franchise Around

NFL fans of struggling franchises often joke that they can turn the team around. Loyal followers of the Browns, Titans, Raiders, and Jets certainly have experienced much frustration in recent years.

Meanwhile, all fans admire the stability and consistency of organizations like the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers. Taking over a bottom-level team and building it into a year-over-year contender is an exciting challenge for fantasy football managers. The 2025 NFL season showed us it can happen quickly, given the turnarounds by New England, Seattle, Jacksonville, and more. This is your chance to be the fantasy football version of Mike Vrabel, Mike Macdonald, or Liam Coen.

Claiming an available and existing FFPC dynasty team gives you the opportunity to see how you might fare when accepting the exciting challenge of turning a directionless team into an eventual champion. It is the ultimate pro football simulation in fantasy football, one that mirrors taking over a franchise, restructuring it, and making frequent decisions that will have a significant impact on the current state and future of the team.

FFPC Fantasy Football Dynasty Orphan teams are available in various price ranges and formats. Choose which available team fits your budget best, and what roster is most appealing in terms of goals to either win a championship sooner or rebuild a team in a longer-range process. You can purchase a team in standard dynasty, Superflex, Triflex, or best ball formats.

When you claim a team, the fun and franchise planning can begin right away. You will immediately be able to make trades to revise the roster and potentially deal for picks in the upcoming rookie/free-agent draft. Unlike in a seasonal league, you are not just waiting for draft day with nothing else to do to improve the outlook.

Those who take on a team at the $77 league price point won’t have to pay an initial one-time deposit, and some teams are made available at discounted rates. If the lowest price fits the budget better, or if you are newer to dynasty football, then buying a $77 or discounted team may be the most comfortable route to take.

FFPC Dynasty Orphan Teams for Sale

Claiming An Existing Dynasty Fantasy Football Team

The list of available orphan dynasty teams is available here. Buying an available team is an instantly immersive experience. The inactivity that usually marks the fantasy football offseason in seasonal formats doesn’t have to be endured. Begin by reviewing the rosters of the available teams, which can be a fun exercise.

Of course, you will want to target a team that has a few quality core players to build around. The amount and position of draft picks in the upcoming rookie/free-agent draft will also be a factor. Keep in mind that the FFPC is a tight end premium format (1.5 points for every reception) when considering rostered players at that position.

Lower-priced teams will often take more time and years to build into a contender, but you might enjoy the longer-term project and reward of guiding a team from mediocrity to the top. A team that is stocked with more impact players already on the roster can quicken your journey to cashing out with a league championship. Consider taking over one team that can win sooner and another that needs a lot of work to experience both types of opportunities.

The Dynasty Orphan Team I'm Purchasing

When navigating through the list of available teams, there were a healthy number of options in various price ranges. Some of the squads being sold at a discount were indeed tempting. You can take over teams that are actually priced under $20. Some of the lower-priced teams were thin on 2025 draft picks, yet were well-stocked with enough 2026 draft choices and quality players to make it worth the longer wait to get back into the rookie/free-agent draft mix.

Some teams were apparently built to win in 2025 and traded away many draft picks to contend, and now were put on the FFPC market for sale. Others had a good amount of 2025 draft choices and are priced closer to the entry fee for buying a new startup dynasty team.

Ultimately, this $77 Superflex team shown above has a great mix of quarterback talent, anchors at RB and WR, and two valuable rookie draft picks to work with right away. This team is not sold at a discount, but it has enough pieces to pull off a quick path toward contention. Alternatively, a manager with this dynasty roster could look to sell off win-now pieces like Jonathan Taylor and Matthew Stafford to start a "soft" rebuild. This roster provides ammo and flexibility to lean into a win-now roster construction or take the patient route and build for the future.

Here is the roster I am considering for purchase. It is a $77 Superflex league team at a $77 price point. Here are the key players included from every position and their KeepTradeCut dynasty ranking.

Dynasty Orphan Team Roster Analysis

Quarterbacks:

Lamar Jackson (QB4), Justin Herbert (QB7), Matthew Stafford (QB24), Jacoby Brissett (QB32)

Running Backs:

Jonathan Taylor (RB7), David Montgomery (RB37), Kenneth Gainwell (RB35), Rachaad White (RB52), Brashard Smith (RB56), Najee Harris (RB72)

Wide Receivers:

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR5), DeVonta Smith (WR25), Alec Pierce (WR34), Parker Washington (WR43), Tre Tucker (WR70), Deebo Samuel (WR71), Marvin Mims (WR73), Keenan Allen (WR94)

Tight End:

T.J. Hockenson (TE19)

2026 Rookie Draft Picks:

1.3, 2.3, 3.3, 5.3, 7.3

This team is neither a full-on rebuilding project nor a real 2025 contender. In a Superflex league, the QB structure is desirable with two top-seven players at the position. The 1.03 in the 2026 rookie draft can be used on the best available player who falls between Jeremiyah Love and either Jordyn Tyson or Carnell Tate, assuming Fernando Mendoza is selected No. 1 or No. 2 overall. If Mendoza falls, trading out of the 1.03 is a strong consideration.

The running back group will need some backfilling, but Taylor is a strong center-piece, and Montgomery, Gainwell, and White should all have at least some impact in fantasy football next season. Brashard Smith is an interesting stash, but he'll be released from this team if the Chiefs pick a running back early in the 2026 NFL Draft.

At wide receiver, St. Brown is an elite asset, while Smith is a solid piece, and Washington and Pierce are ascending players. The team will need work at tight end, but T.J. Hockenson could bounce back if J.J. McCarthy improves or is replaced.
