EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (12/14/21) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 12/14/21. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! This is the second consecutive week now that we have some mid-week EPL to enjoy. It's a crazy time of the year for European soccer, but it makes for some fun times for us fans. There were originally three games on the slate, but the Manchester United @ Brentford game was postponed due to a Covid outbreak. That leaves just two games on the slate for us. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Tuesday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/14/21 for the slate that locks at 2:30 pm ET. It appears as if the slate will still lock at 2:30 pm ET on FanDuel even though the two remaining games won't start until at least 15 minutes after, so be prepared for that. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Norwich vs Aston Villa

After getting five points from three matches, Norwich are back on a losing streak now. They host an Aston Villa (+130) side that have had a mixed bag of results so far this season. They should be able to handle Norwich, though, even on the road. The goal total over/under is a slate-low 2, 2.5.

Manchester City vs Leeds

Manchester City (-720) are one of the biggest favorites we've seen thus far in the league. They are 2.5 goal favorites at home against a poor Leeds team. City have won six straight league games and are back atop the table after Chelsea dropped some points last week. They should roll Leeds and will be the best place to focus your attention with respect to fantasy on Tuesday. The goal total over/under is 3.5.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Manchester City is going to be crazy chalk on this slate especially now with just two games. They're 2.5 goal favorites at home against a Leeds team that they can dominate. Leeds have been slightly better defensively recently, but they're still allowing goals, shots on goal, and chances created at a high rate. Raheem Sterling ($17) is stupidly underpriced on this slate compared to the rest of the City attackers. He has scored 28+ FanDuel points in four of his last five league games. He also just became the 8th youngest player to score 100 goals in the Premier League with his goal last weekend. He will be one of the first players in most of my lineups Tuesday.

Bernardo Silva ($20) has been in great form for City recently as well. He has a good mix of peripherals and goal upside which is exactly what you want in a game against Leeds. He's a bit pricey, but he is still a good way to get a high-floor, high-ceiling player in your lineup in a great matchup. It isn't clear who exactly will start for City on Tuesday, but Phil Foden ($18) and Kevin de Bruyne ($19) would be next on my list of City attackers.

We need to find the right attackers from the other game to pair with City guys on this slate. One place to go is Aston Villa attackers. They face a Norwich team that is still allowing 2.0 goals per game. Ollie Watkins ($18) makes the most sense as the team's leading scorer and shot taker who is +205 to score in this game. He shares the best anytime scoring odds in this game with teammate Danny Ings ($16). Ings looks like he is back to full fitness and would be a nice cheap way to get some goal upside in a good matchup if you don't have the salary for Watkins. John McGinn ($17) is also a strong play with his peripherals.

Another way to go is to try and be different and get some Norwich exposure. Teemu Pukki ($17) is essentially the only attacker of any fantasy relevance for them this season especially with Milot Rashica hurt. He has five goals for the team this year. Villa's defense hasn't been anything to be afraid of this year. They have just three clean sheets all season and are allowing 1.75 goals per game in road games. Mathias Normann ($14) or Josh Sargent ($11) are mildly intriguing value plays who should be low-owned on this slate.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Both Leeds and Manchester City are near the top of the league in combined defensive action allowed. This is a fantastic game environment for defenders in this game to score well. Oleksandr Zinchenko ($8) should be set for a start in this game with Joao Cancelo suspended. He would easily be one of my favorite defenders on the slate if that is the case. He has attacking upside in a matchup like this where City are ginormous favorites, and he should be able to get a good handful of peripherals too. He's not priced up as he should be either, and we need to take advantage of that.

On the other side, Stuart Dallas ($12) is the defender I like most with his production all around the field. You just need to decide if the price tag is worth it, and I think it can be if you find a value attacker.

Brandon Williams ($10) and Aymeric Laporte ($10) are two other defenders I like on this slate.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Ederson ($14) looks like a huge lock for a win bonus on this slate, and he has a 56% chance at keeping a clean sheet in this game. Leeds is a solid matchup, too, because they're aggressive attacking style usually leads to some nice save points for opposing GKs.

Emiliano Martinez ($11) is in play if you're fading Norwich attackers. Norwich has struggled mightily to score all season with just eight goals in 16 games. Villa's defense can be hard to trust at times, but for $3 savings over Ederson, you might have to try and trust Martinez on Tuesday.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
