Jake Odorizzi Removed With Foot Soreness On Monday
Jake Odorizzi (foot) was removed in the second inning of his start against the Texas Rangers on Monday due to right foot soreness. It's unclear when or how he suffered the injury, but he was visited by a trainer and showed discomfort after throwing a warmup pitch. He was promptly removed after that. His final line for the day was 1 1/3 innings, two hits, no walks, no runs and one strikeout. We should know more about the severity of the injury on Tuesday. As of now, he's scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
