Phillip Lindsay Doesn't Contribute Much Against Buffalo
Phillip Lindsay had as many carries (11) as teammate Melvin Gordon III against the Bills on Saturday, but he was much less effective, gaining 38 yards on the ground while catching all three of his targets for an additional seven yards in the 48-19 loss. The good news is that Lindsay continues to split the workload right down the middle with Gordon, but he's averaging just 4.3 yards per carry and hasn't been very effective while battling through nagging injuries in 2020. Lindsay does have five receptions in the last two games after catching just two passes through 13 weeks, so he's being involved a bit more in the passing game. However, Gordon has proven that he's the lead guy, or at least the more efficient guy, in this backfield. Lindsay has pretty much become nothing more than a handcuff for Gordon.
