Frank Ammirante highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 8/15/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.
Get ready for another Saturday of MLB action, with seven games on the main slate. It looks like a good spot for a contrarian Orioles' stack against lefty Patrick Corbin, whose velocity is down two MPH this season. The O's rank second in baseball with a .391 wOBA against southpaws.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Walker Buehler - LAD @ LAA ($9,600)
Buehler has a chance to be under-owned in this one due to his slow start, where he has not pitched more than 5.2 innings as the Dodgers slowly ramp him up. Buehler threw 87 pitches in his last start, so there's a good chance that he hits 100 in this one. Remember that Buehler had a similarly slow start last year, where he didn't eclipse 5.2 innings until his fourth start. He takes on the Angels, who have scored four runs or less in five of their last seven games. Fire up Buehler here in this bounce-back spot as a nice pivot from Patrick Corbin.
Cristian Javier - HOU vs. SEA ($7,800)
Going with Javier allows you to save some money and he has a great matchup here against a Mariners' offense that has posted a .303 wOBA against righties, which is tied for 23rd in MLB. The rookie righty is coming off a poor start against the A's, where he allowed five runs in three innings, but he had two quality starts before that, allowing a combined two runs in 11.2 innings. The Astros are -220 favorites, so Javier should have a good chance at a win. He's a strong alternative if you're not comfortable paying up for Buehler.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Alex Bregman - 3B, HOU vs. SEA ($3,800)
Bregman is starting to heat up, going 5-10 (.500) with one home run and seven walks in his last four games. He takes on middling lefty Nick Margevicius in an exploitable matchup against the Mariners. Bregman punished lefties last season, slashing .350/.443/.742 against them last year. If you decide to stack Astros against Margevicius, be sure to start with Bregman because he's easily the best Astros' option on this slate and he comes with a sub-4K price tag.
Hanser Alberto - 2B, WAS vs. BAL ($3,100)
The first member of our Orioles' stack is Alberto, who excels against lefties, posting a .399/.415/.537 slash against them last year. Alberto has hit safely in his last eight games, including five multi-hit performances, so he's coming into this one swinging a hot bat. He also is a fixture at the top of this Orioles' lineup, so he's a great pick to start off this Orioles stack.
Renato Nunez - 1B, WAS vs. BAL ($3,000)
Nunez is another good choice to put in this Orioles' stack, as he's another guy who punishes lefties, posting a .270/.326/.510 slash against them last season. Nunez has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, so he's also seeing the ball well right now. The Orioles have scored 58 runs in their last eight games (7.25 per game) and Nunez has been a big part of that with three home runs and seven RBI in that span.
Gleyber Torres - SS, NYY vs. BOS ($2,700)
Torres broke out of his season-long slump on Friday, going 4-4 with two RBI. The Yankees really need him to step up with injuries to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Torres faces off against righty Nathan Eovaldi, who has looked solid so far this season, but has struggled with the long-ball in the past, posting a 2.13 HR/9 last season. Torres has a fantastic price at $2700, so we need to lock him in here.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Anthony Santander - OF, BAL vs. WAS ($3,300)
Santander completes our Orioles' stack and he's coming in red-hot, averaging 19.01 FanDuel points over his last eight games. He's also a better hitter against lefties, slashing .272/.310/.500 against them last season. Santander's price has been inflated a bit, so hopefully, that will keep his ownership percentage low - facing Corbin should help in that regard as well.
Willie Calhoun - OF, TEX @ COL ($3,300)
Calhoun is slowly starting to bust out of his lengthy slump - prior to last night's 0-3, he had gone 5-13 (.385) in his previous three games. He faces Rockies' ace German Marquez, but there's a chance that his ownership percentage will be low as players drift towards Joey Gallo or Nick Solak. Calhoun has pop in that bat, with 21 home runs in 337 plate appearances last season.
Robbie Grossman - OF, OAK @ SF ($2,500)
Grossman is another cheap hitter who's been red-hot lately - he's averaged 24.15 FanDuel points over his last six games. He's slashing .306/.460/612 on the season and goes up against Kevin Gausman, who has gotten off to a strong start, but still has a long track record of inconsistency. Simply put, we have to fire up Grossman here because he's still only priced at $2,500. Hopefully, his matchup with Gausman will keep his ownership rate low.
