LCK & LPL DFS Picks for 6/28/20: DraftKings, FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Jason Malmanger's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for LPL, and LCK slates on 6/28/20. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

What’s good, RotoBallers? Yours truly had another nice day yesterday, scooping the 8$ 3-max on DK. Let me tell you i really love these smaller 3-5 max GPPs as you can hand build efficiently and not have to worry as much about having the absolute nuts.

We're back for the last big slate until Wednesday morning, as the LCK takes the next two days off - so let's get it!

I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LCK/LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Sunday, June 28th, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

LCK Matches

4:00 AM Dragon X (-385) vs. Afreeca

Afreeca is coming off their loss to T1, which saw them give T1 all they could handle taking game one and pushing the series to three games. Drx had a disappointment dropping a game to SBG, but they still got the job done last time out. We saw DRX take both meetings in the spring 2-1, so we know this one will be close.

DRX have better gold numbers early thanks to their lane proficiency, and they lead the league in CSM and gold differential at 15 minutes. Due to their commitment to the laning phase, Afreeca has the advantage in first blood, first turret, and rift heralds, but DRX still holds a large advantage in gold at fifteen minutes. DRX also has advantages in dragon barons and visions, even though I'd call Afreeca a better late game team.

If we look at the players, Afreeca has the advantage top lane with Kiin. Mid-jungle duo is in favor of DRX and by a wide margin. Chovy and Pyosik are playing like they might be the best in the world. In the bot lane I'll take Mystic over Deft, but Keria over Ben. So you can see this is a close matchup, and it could go either way. I think Drx do win 2-1, but AFS are a very live dog especially if they can get it late and let Mystic 1 v 9. I doubt that Pyosik and Chovy let it get that far with the way they've been playing.

Top DRX Plays

  • Pyosik - JNG
  • Chovy - MID
  • Deft - ADC
  • Keria - SUP

 Top AFS Plays

  • Mystic - ADC
  • Ben - SUP
  • Kiin - TOP
  • AFS Team

7:00 AM: T1 (-900) vs. Sandbox Gaming

It's sometimes so nice to get a real meatball of a matchup. You can never sleep when it comes to the LPL, but the LCK has a few haves and have nots. Right now, SBG definitely qualifies as have not.

T1 has the advantage in every statistical category except for a mere 1% lead for SBG in the first turret percentage. SBG did sneak a game away from DRX last time out, but as T1 ate starting to get back on track with their win over AFS, I think they don't even get that one game today. T1 sweep GG2EZ! The problem is two-fold though - will T1 pay off their prices, and will they swap some players out due to this being such a winnable matchup. I can't be sure on either of those counts, so I'll be only taking mini stacks and the team slot here. Even mainstays like Faker and Canna could be swapped for a day off and stage experience. Proceed with caution.

Top T1 Plays

  • Faker - MID
  • Canna - TOP
  • Teddy - ADC
  • T1 Team

LPL Matches

5:00 AM: LNG (-110) vs. Vici Gaming (-125)

Its finally here fam, the day I break up with VG. I complained about it last time, and did it anyway. Today we've got a trump card in play LNG is bringing back Flandre. So I can go right ahead and ignore VG vision advantage. I can pretend like VG owns an early gold advantage, and first turret percentage doesn't exist. LNG get more dragons, focus gold and exp into Light, letting him carry late. Plus, they've got Flandre back! Sorry to Chenlun17, but besides the Snake Pit (best buds group chat nickname for LNG's home stadium) reopening for business, this is the closest thing to a swag boost LNG can claim. In all seriousness, Flandre's carry top lane status can give LNG another win condition to play through. I like LNG for a 2-1 win here. You can undoubtedly play VG if you're bold. They've let everyone down enough now that you'll get a fabulous ownership discount, but you won't catch me there.

Top LNG Plays:

  • Light - ADC
  • Maple - MID
  • Xx - JNG
  • Flandre - TOP

7:00 AM: JDG (-750) vs. Rogue Warriors

After trying to catch lightning in a bottle with RW after the Haro swap, I don't think I can try that again for a while, especially vs. the likes of JDG. We've seen some big favs drop games and indeed a whole series in the LPL this split. This set isn't that, and this is a big-time get right spot for JDG. JDG wiped them in the spring, and Kanavi had no problem with Haro's early pressure. Since that is the main win condition for this RW side, I'm confident JDG repeat their springtime success here as well. As crazy as it seems, Kanavi has the lowest kp% of anyone on the team in summer split after being fourth in the league in spring. So if you're going there Haro is the top play on RW.

Top JDG Plays:

  • Kanavi - JNG (GET RIGHT SPOT)
  • Loken - ADC
  • LvMao - SUP
  • Zoom - TOP

Summary

  1. LNG is a free square for me on FD a single piece or two can open your lineups up.
  2. JDG probably has best upside thanks to RW, who are giving up over 20 deaths per loss. It’s just a matter of how to get there.
  3. T1 should win easily...but possibly too easily for their prices.
