EU Masters DFS Picks (4/29/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Jason Malmanger's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for EU Masters slates on 4/29/20. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

Welcome back RotoBallers to my League of Legends DFS column! We will continue to extend our analysis for LoL DFS across different leagues and sites, bringing you the insight you need to succeed. Thanks once again for the outpouring of support from the DFS and eSports communities. I can't thank you enough for the kind words on Twitter, and your support has afforded me the opportunity to write about something I love every day.

This Wednesday through Saturday, EU Masters groups stages finish out one group at a time. Today its Group B followed by A, C, and D. Instead of the large six-game slates we had been enjoying, we will now see three consecutive two-game slates as each group finishes up its double round-robin format in a day. Meanwhile, FanDuel has an all-day slate where you will receive points for each player for all three games that they play on Wednesday, which changes strategy over there a bit. Spring season is coming to a close, but there are still some massive contests posted in the FanDuel and DraftKings lobbies, including the 15-dollar Shock Blast that pays 25k to first place!

Today, I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and lineup picks for the EU Masters slates on DraftKings and FanDuel that lock at 12:00 PM ET on Wednesday, April 29th, 2020. Make sure you are following me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

Group B Slate 1

12:00 PM: Defuse Kids vs. Giants (-750)

Group B will finish their double round-robin today with three two-game sets, and DraftKings will be covering this with three two-game slates. FanDuel has decided to lump all of them together, so if you draft someone for one game, then you have them for all the games.

The Giants should wrap this one up nicely. They are 3-0 in group and Defuse kids are 0-3; this is represented very well in the odds. The Spanish champions are dominant statistically, with the Dutch side only holding slim advantages in CSM and first blood %; everything else falls on the side of GIA. Defuse kids is also one of the slower teams at the tournament, and with the prices on GIA, I will look to target the next game a bit heavier.

Lamabear - JNG ($7,400 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel)

The jungler from Giant's leads the team with 75% kill participation, and outside of Attila has been his team's top DraftKings scorer. His 74% also tops on the slate, making him an attractive option on the FanDuel side because I expect Giant's to go 3-0 on the day.

Pretty - MID ($7,600 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel)

The mid-laner for GIA should have an excellent fantasy day on Wednesday as well. He too is priced second on FanDuel and I will try to jam as many giants as I can into those lineups.

12:45 PM: Rogue vs. LDLC (-125)

I keep getting burned by them, but I'm taking Rogue to win here again. They had their first meeting versus LDLC in the bag when a small but critical error had me in trouble for screaming in my kitchen. They will enjoy the same advantages they had for the last matchup, vision, CSM, and continuity.

They will have the comfort of being on the blue side of the rift as well, which will secure them the first pick. They have won 15/17 games on blue this year, and that's a trend I believe will continue here. This matchup could go either way as it did in the first go-around, and this is the matchup to be more heavily involved in on Wednesday.

Woolite - ADC ($7,200 DraftKings, $9,600 FanDuel)

The ADC is priced right on DraftKings, and on FanDuel he is the lowest priced option. Because I think they win this match and potentially again later in the day, it's a spot I like on both sites.

Syzgenda - TOP ($6,000 DraftKings, $7,900 FanDuel)

Syz has the best KP% among tops on the slate, and we have seen Bando have a few stinkers in his first week at EUM. Best KP% in the best match on the two-game slate, this is a spot I really like.

Group B Slate 2

1:30 PM: Giants (-280) vs. LDLC

I think it is clear I don't respect the number two seed from the LFL, and a lot of that has to do with their bot lane. They lost their former ADC just weeks before the end of the season, and since then have only beat bottom feeders within their league and here at EUM.

Giants, on the other hand, has got to be one of the odds on favorites to win the whole thing. In the second two-game slate on DraftKings, this will be the matchup to target as LDLC can get a bit sloppy both from ahead and behind. Lamabear and Pretty would be my first two targets again on DraftKings.

2:15 PM: Defuse Kids vs. AG Rogue (-250)

I like Rogue here on DraftKings, and I've already mentioned them for FanDuel due to the fact I think they can have a two-win day. This should be the slower of the two matches on this slate. I don't mind hedging this match in GPP lineups as it would allow me to put more GIA in my lineups.

Zanzarah - JNG ($6,800 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel)

The jungler sits second on the team in KP%, and since I like both favorites on the DraftKings slate I think that the best we can hope for in those builds will likely be the double Jungle or double Top.

Goose - ADC ($7,400 DraftKings, $9,700 FanDuel)

The ADC leads his team in both KP% and kill share, and he is priced nicely on DraftKings. On FanDuel however, I don't like the prices on Defuse kids. I much prefer Rogue.

Group B Slate 3

3:00 PM: Rogue vs. Giants (-220)

The third slate on DraftKings could get a little funky. Straight up, I think Giants are the class of this group, but they could have first place locked up by the time these matches start. Rogue could be locked into a death battle with LDLC for the second slot within groups B.

In that scenario, I can see taking a shot on the dog here. It would still be a long shot, and if Giants need this win, then they'll get it. If I do take a few RGO players here, it will be a small stack or a salary saving one-off, but if going to the Giants side, then, by all means, load up.

Attila - ADC ($8,400 DraftKings, $9,700 FanDuel)

The former LEC player leads his team in both Kp% and kill share, and that's a very nice combo for an ADC. He styled at the end of the game last Wednesday, getting himself a Penta-kill to fill up the stat sheet. Hopefully, it doesn't take last-minute heroics to save his scoreline on Wednesday, but with the unforced errors coming out from the side of RGO I think he can pay this off.

3:45 PM: LDLC (-400) vs. Defuse Kids

DK is one of the slowest teams in the tournament, if they can pull the upset here, they would be a good play. The favorites, however, are going to be limited by DK.

DK average under 17 deaths in their losses and so far have crippled fantasy upside. Once again, I'm going to try to take a dog into LDLC. I mentioned on day one of the tournament that the Defuse Kids have only lost once on the red side all year.

They have dropped both of their games on Red thus far at EU Masters, but they might be very desperate at this time, possibly even without a win. If you can't stomach the idea of another shot at LDLC, target the top half of their map, as that's where they're the strongest.

Tynx - JNG ($7,000 DraftKings, $8,900 FanDuel)

The jungler from LDLC has been a first blood machine in the tournament. He is second on the team in KP% and has been second in DraftKings points per game within EU masters. LDLC may also be desperate by this point in time, needing a win to secure the second seed and advance to knockouts.

Summary

  1. On DraftKings, be prepared to change your mind a lot. In these rapid-fire slates in the past, we have had a lot of overreactions to results. Also, be cognizant of the outcomes for each team and how they impact seeding. Organizations need to finish in the top two to advance to the knock out stage.
  2. On FanDuel, with the bizarre choice to put everything together, I think you have to load up on Giants. They have the best shot to go 3-0 on the day, and those three wins have the most potential.
  3. LDLC is the most expensive team on FanDuel, and I don't like them at those prices. I much prefer Rogue or even Defuse kids. I think Rogue has a good shot of going 2-1, and maybe even 3-0 if Giants have first wrapped up and then take game three off.
  4. Have some fun guys we're running out of these precious slates, and when the break is here, we will miss this nonstop all day long LOL sweats.
