FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/6/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Jake Finnen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/6/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

With the trade deadline ending within 12 hours, there is no more need to worry about what unfortunately happened tonight. As many saw coming, Andre Iguodala is being traded. While not many can say they knew it would be to the Heat, alongside Jae Crowder and a few other Grizzlies, Iguodala is nonetheless on his way to Miami after not playing all season, whereas Crowder who had been playing in most games and wasn't a terrible value play Wednesday night, was considered a late scratch and unfortunately ruined any lineups he might have been in. After noon Thursday, the deadline will be over and lineups will become slightly more secure as the season rounds the midway point.

Glenn Robinson III and Alec Burks are now 76ers, and Jabari Parker and Alex Len were traded to the Kings in exchange for Dewayne Dedmon. That may be it for now, but there are still a few hours left for trades to emerge in the early morning, so don't be surprised when you wake up to some interesting news. There are just five games tonight so you know the drill. Be accurate and any risk needs to pay off or you lose. Good luck.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/6/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. FanDuel DFS Guards

Derrick White - PG, @ POR ($4,500)

This pick was between Derrick White and Tomas Satoransky, and White's price easily gave him the edge. Throwing another player into the mix, Dejounte Murray, there are already three decent value plays that all have a good chance of having high ownership Thursday. While Murray is the simpler pick, he also doesn't come with the significant financial freedom that White allows. It hasn't been the greatest week for Derrick White, but this is also the first time he is facing a non-Laker-Clipper backcourt. Playing the Trail Blazers should reinstill confidence in any Spurs player that might be in a slump. Despite Lillard's MVP-like performances, Portland is still letting up a ton of points.

Avery Bradley  - SG, vs. HOU ($3,600)

Everyone can joke about the Houston Rockets running P.J. Tucker at center for the time being, and guarding Anthony Davis is going to be a challenge for Tucker, much like it is for anyone in the league. With this knowledge it's not difficult to conclude that the Rockets are going to need to work for their rebounds. Since that will be the case and Avery Bradley was once a notable backcourt rebounder, he along with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope multiply their upside in games where they can effectively rebound. They both should see heavy minutes because of the matchup, but I give the edge to Bradley simply because of his history of rebounding.

Josh Hart - SG, @ CHI ($4,700)

You could say it's been a slow season for Josh Hart, but that would mean you haven't been paying close enough attention. Hart is nearly averaging a double-double and despite what the Pelicans want to do with their offense, Hart is one of the few players that can perform well on the road as well as at home. Zion Williamson is a budding star and he will continue to pull from Hart's upside, but playing on the road against the Bulls makes me think that Hart will see a ton of minutes, a ton of chances to make shots, and plenty of missed opportunities to help keep his average up.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Rudy Gay - SF, vs. POR ($3,500)

Rudy Gay hasn't been playing enough to really trust in any situation right now, but with such a low price and the Trail Blazers playing down or up to their opponents level on a nightly basis, I like his upside when the game should stay competitive. There are some injuries throughout this game and Trevor Ariza is another nice play, but Gay has been scoring while receiving close to no minutes. He saw 31 total minutes between both losses versus the Lakers and Clippers, and only saw six minutes the game before the Spurs L.A. roadtrip. The upside doesn't seem there, but with other people most likely thinking the same thing, Gay can be the perfect option with close to zero ownership.

Chandler Hutchison - SF, vs. NOP ($4,500)

Moving one step up from basement-level value, Chandler Hutchison is greatly benefitting from injuries across the Chicago frontcourt and a lack of options when it comes to offense. For the second time in three games and after nearing a season-high in shot attempts, Hutchison has been trying to space the offense and take more shots now the opportunities are flying at him from all directions. Whether or not this is the start of a trend for him doesn't matter. He is playing the Pelicans. He is taking more shots, and after scoring above 15 points for just the second time this season, I expect him to carry his scoring momentum into Thursday.

Derrick Favors - PF, @ CHI ($5,000)

Just because I didn't tear Chandler Hutchison apart doesn't mean Derrick Favors isn't going to. With barely anybody available for the Bulls, New Orleans is going to somehow find a way to even make Jahlil Okafor useful tonight, completely negating this ideal Favors pick. His price is low for his upside and the Bulls defense couldn't stop anyone even if they were healthy. The biggest risk here might come from Favors siting because the Pelicans don't want him to get hurt, but that's being too optimistic towards the Pelicans offense. The Bulls should keep this close for long enough for Favors to hit his projected.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Bobby Portis - C, vs. ORL ($3,600)

Bobby Portis might not own Orlando every time they play, but he sure plays consistently against them. In the three games he has actually played versus the Magic, only one game has he performed poorly. He scored six points and grabbed six rebounds in 22 minutes which is not a great outing, but the Magic without Jonathan Isaac is a totally different team. All the Knicks forwards have upside tonight, but Portis is a great value option because of his recent bump in minutes and history versus this frontcourt.
