FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/10/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Daniel E. Dobish highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/10/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a full slate of Major League Baseball games, with four day games with first pitch between 1:10 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. ET, with one game at 6:40 p.m., and nine games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET. We'll have selections for the 'All Day' contests, so you'll have a wide-array of selections to choose from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/10/2019. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @danieledobish.

Weather Outlook

The winds will be blowing from left field to first base at a 10-13 mph clip at Guaranteed Rate Field for the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago White Sox, knocking down fly balls from right-handed hitters especially. There is a threat of rain, and even snow, in the forecast for the battle between the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies. If they are able to squeeze in the game, batters will be dealing with a chilly breeze directly in their face from the left-center field power alley anywhere from 15-20 mph. It will not be a pleasant time at Coors Field, and it's best to avoid this game entirely. The Minnesota Twins and New York Mets will also see the same type of wind as the south side of Chicago, with 10-13 mph winds blowing from left field across to first base.

For the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals, they'll be facing a stiff 14-17 mph wind blowing in from right field to third base, keeping the ball in the yard off the bat of any left-handed hitters. The wind will be blowing in at Wrigley Field, too, anywhere from 16-19 mph from right-center field to home plate, which is good for the pitchers, bad for the batters. Lastly, the Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals will see winds blowing from 16-19 mph from first base to left field, so right-handed hitters might be able to get it up in that Jetstream and send it for a ride.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Kenta Maeda - P, LAD at STL ($8400)

Maeda is off to a decent 2-0 start with a 3.09 ERA and 1.29 WHIP while posting 10 strikeouts over 11 2/3 innings. Those punchout numbers could increase against a St. Louis offense which has struck out 111 times across just 11 games, ranking fourth in the majors and first in the National League in the category. Maeda is 2-0 with a 4.19 ERA in three starts and six relief appearances in his career vs. St. Louis. Remember, he'll also have the luxury of that stiff wind knocking down balls hit by lefties, too.

Tyler Mahle - P, CIN vs. MIA ($7600)

The Marlins are already in the basement in the National League East, and they have a minus-25 run differential which is third-worst in the majors. That makes Mahle a nice mid-level target, especially pitching at home. He is just 2-5 with a 5.04 ERA over 12 starts at Great American Ball Park in his career, but he also has a very nice 75 strikeouts in 60 2/3 home innings. He should rack up plenty of positive numbers against a toothless Marlins offense.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Christian Walker - 1B, ARI vs. TEX ($3100)

Walker can provide plenty of pop, and he comes with a very cap-friendly price tag. Rangers SP Lance Lynn has a 6.39 ERA and .288 opponent batting average with two homers allowed through just 12 2/3 innings so far.

Mike Moustakas - 2B, MIL at LAA ($3100)

Moustakas is a tremendous value at this price point, posting 10.89 fantasy points per game through 12 games played. Comparatively, a guy like Houston's Jose Altuve ($3900) has produced only slightly better in terms of fantasy points (11.09), yet you can secure Moose for roughly 21 percent less DFS salary.

Anthony Rendon - 3B, WAS at PHI ($4700)

Rendon is crushing it during the early going to the tune of a .421 batting average (16-for-38) with six doubles, four homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored. He easily leads all third basemen in batting average, and he has posted a gaudy .489 on-base percentage, .895 slugging percentage and ridiculous 1.384 OPS.

Paul DeJong - SS, STL vs LAD ( $3600)

DeJong was hitless on Opening Day in Milwaukee on March 28, but he has collected at least one hit in every game since. The shortstop has hit safely in 10 consecutive games, posting a .325 batting average (13-for-40) with seven runs scored, three homers, seven RBI and three walks.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Adam Jones - OF, ARI vs. TEX ($3700)

When Jones signed with the Diamondbacks late in the spring, it was expected he would play fairly regularly, but he wasn't expected to be a star. He has been racking up huge fantasy numbers in the early going, hitting .362 with four doubles, four homers and six RBI. He has a favorable matchup against the very giving Lynn.

Trey Mancini - OF, BAL vs. OAK ($3800)

Casual baseball fans might not know much about him yet, but Mancini has certainly been a friend to DFS players during the early going. He has been tearing it up with a .372 average (16-for-43) with two double, five homers and 11 RBI. He is even better vs. RHP, collecting 11 hits in 27 at-bats (.407) with three bombs and nine RBI.

Domingo Santana - OF, SEA at KC ($4600)

When Santana came into the league with the Brewers, it was his cannon of an arm from right field which everyone raved about. So far this season with the Mariners, it is his ridiculous offensive production stealing the show. He is slashing .345/.429/.618 with three doubles, four homers and 19 RBI across his 13 games, and he'll be up against RHP Heath Fillmyer, who allowed 11 homers and 32 walks over just 82 1/3 innings last season.
