NBA Schedule Guide - Week 6

Week 5 was a beauty for all of us streamers. We had the Warriors playing five games and the Pistons only one. It was clear that streaming can be quite useful, and I hope you guys took full advantage of this.

Week 6, on the other hand, is much more evened out. No team plays more than four, nor fewer than three games next week. Furthermore, no games are played on Thursday, Nov 22, since it's Thanksgiving. This makes streaming much less valuable this week than it was the previous.

Nevertheless, Tuesday is pretty scarce with just four games, and there are only 15 games played over Saturday and Sunday, so we will take a look at the players whose teams play on at least two of these three days.

Here's the low-down:

Teams with 4 games:
Atlanta Hawks
Boston Celtics
Brooklyn Nets
Charlotte Hornets
Cleveland Cavaliers
Denver Nuggets
Detroit Pistons
Los Angeles Clippers
Memphis Grizzlies
Milwaukee Bucks

Sacramento Kings
San Antonio Spurs

Utah Jazz

Teams with 3 games:

Baller Streaming Strategy for Week 6

First of all, if you're thinking about dropping a quality/high upside player for a streaming spot, this week might not be a perfect time to do so. With only 6 game-days and only Tuesday having fewer than 7 games, you're probably not desperate for games, nor will you be able to gain too big of an advantage over your rival with streaming.

This being said, days that are worth targeting for all of us who have a bench fodder to cut for a streaming spot are most probably Tuesday with just four games, followed by Saturday with seven and Sunday with eight games played, respectfully.

Although there are no teams that play on all three of these days, there are nine teams (listed above) that play on two. In addition to playing on the eight-game Sunday, the LA Clippers have a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday, which makes their players decent streaming pieces right from the beginning of the week.

Players from these teams will be our focus in this weeks article.

Player Recommendations

Shallower League Add

Bogdan Bogdanovic, SG/SF, SAC, (59% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, PTS, a bit of everything

Praise the Lord, my man Bogdan is back! He had some injury problems, but that seems to be behind him since the reports are saying he will be playing both games of Sacramento's back-to-back on Nov 16-Nov 17.

He has played four games so far. In the first two, the rust was obvious as he hit only 4-of-13 from the field, 4-of-5 from the line and had just 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, and a steal in both games combined. He played just 19 minutes per game in those two.

He has bounced back since and shown us we can rely on him. In the last two, he went a combined 14-of-27 from the field and hit his only free throw for 34 points, three rebounds, five assists, a steal, and three turnovers in 24 and 25 minutes. Just to point out, these are added stats in both of the games.

It's all uphill from here for Bogdan, and he should be a candidate who you will keep the entire season if his injury is truly behind him.

That being said, if you primarily need help on Tuesday this week, Bogdan will not be able to help you there. But he plays on Monday, Wednesday and both Saturday and Sunday, so his upside for the four-game week, but even more so in the long term, warrants a pickup in most leagues.

Deep League Add

Patrick Beverley, PG/SG, LAC (21% Owned) - Strong Cats: STL, AST, 3PM, REB

Another returnee from injury, Beverley's price tag has been cramped by his inability to stay healthy. He has missed the majority of last season, but has played in all 14 games so far, and has seen an increase in playing time, getting 30 minutes a game in the last two weeks.

His grit is what he is famous for, and his owners will enjoy his all-around contributions. His averages in the last 14 days are 9.8 PTS on 46.3 FG% and no misses in two attempts from the line, 1.8 3PM, 4.6 REB, 4.0 AST, 0.6 STL, 0.4 BLK and just 0.4 TO. There is no real reason for him not to keep it up.

He is a decent pickup, especially this week where the Clippers play a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday, so he can kick you off to a great start for the week. The biggest risk to P. Bev is his injury history, but that's not much of a concern for one-week streaming purposes.

Insanely Deep League Add

Allonzo Trier, SG, NYK (11% Owned) - Strong Cats: PTS, STL/BLK, FT%

Allonzo took us by surprise this season. Not many expected the undrafted rookie on a two-way contract to play any sort of role in New York this season, but here we are. Trier is averaging 25 minutes a game this season and rewarding insightful owners who picked him up on time with 11.3 PTS with 0.7 3PM on 46.6 FG% and 87.3 FT% (on 3.4 attempts a game mind you!), 2.9 REB, 1.6 AST, 0.7 STL, 0.6 BLK and 2.0 TO. He is also keeping busy on the defensive end getting 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per outing in his last four games.

Now Trier is an undrafted rookie, so his potential is really a mystery. Whether he can keep this up or not is up for debate, and it isn't very likely he will be this good for the rest of the season. But we don't really need him to, do we? The next week will do just fine.

With the Knicks playing four games, one of which is on the four-game Tuesday, so Trier is as good an option as any to take a flier on for owners in very deep leagues who are in need of some defensive stats with decent free throw shooting and who don't care much about turnovers.

Other Deep League Options for the Week

DeMarre Carroll, SF/PF, BKN, (16% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, STL, REB
Jared Dudley, SF/PF, BKN, (0% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, STL, REB
Ed Davis, PF/C, BKN, (7% Owned) - Strong Cats: FG%, REB
Kelly Olynyk, PF/C, MIA, (24% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, REB, FT%
Justise Winslow, SF/PF, MIA, (18% Owned) - Strong Cats: REB, a bit of everything - buyer beware: poor percentages!
Mitchell Robinson, C, NYK, (25% Owned) - Strong Cats: REB, FG%, BLK
Iman Shumpert, SG/SF, SAC, (3% Owned) - Strong Cats: STL, 3PM
Delon Wright, PG, TOR, (3% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, FT%
OG Anunoby, SF/PF, TOR, (8% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, STL - buyer beware: injured on Nov 16, status unknown atm
Jeff Green, SG/SF, WAS, (21% Owned) - Strong Cats: REB, 3PM, FT%
Austin Rivers, PG/SG, WAS, (3% Owned) - Strong Cats: 3PM, AST, PTS

Hope you guys enjoyed the article and the advice, and I hope that this will help you win your matchups next week and bragging rights for the week after.
