FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/4/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

We've got an exceptionally small Monday slate, and there are really no "safe" pitching options. That means there is plenty of cash to go around to use on batters. The Yankees figure to be the stack of the day, but Atlanta and Arizona are also intriguing options to consider, even if the ballpark isn't the most favorable.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/4/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DanMarcus3

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Nick Tropeano - SP, vs. KC ($8,000)

This is a tough slate for SP, with Zack Godley likely being the most popular cash game option thanks to his start coming at pitcher friendly AT&T Park. However, Tropeano has a solid matchup of his own against the Royals who have only two regulars (Salvador Perez and Mike Moustakas) with an ISO of .200 or above when facing RHP this season. They do make a lot of contact, but without a dominant strikeout pitcher on the slate, lack of strikeouts isn’t likely to be as big of a detriment as usual.

Domingo German - SP, @DET ($6,600)

German is the place to look for strikeout upside as he currently owns a 27.5% strikeout rate and faces a Tigers lineup that features four likely starters with a strikeout rate above 25% against RHP. German has struggled surrendering home runs -- he does get a slight park upgrade shifting away from Yankee Stadium -- so this start could turn sideways quickly, making him best fit as a GPP option.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Tyler Flowers - C/1B, @SDP ($3,100)

Flowers may not draw the start tonight due to the Braves’ rotation at catcher, but he has had major success against LHP this season. While that hasn’t been the case historically, his numbers this season are hard to ignore, even in a small sample, as he has a .300 ISO and has walked seven percent more frequently than he’s struck out against them. The park shift isn’t great for his power, but is a decent option to pay down at the position.

Also Consider: Paul Goldschmidt 1B, @SFG ($4,200)

Ozzie Albies - 2B, @ SDP ($4,300)

Albies cooled off considerably in May, but has continued to hit lefties very well, slugging .635 in 74 at-bats this season. Unlike Flowers, there’s no doubt Albies will be in the lineup tonight and he’ll be a core cash game play for me.

Miguel Andujar - 3B, @ DET ($3,000)

Mike Fiers is normally a pitcher to target heavily with stacks, but he’s middle of the road on tonight’s slate in many peripheral indicators. The Yankees will likely remain a popular stack due to the short slate and their name value, making it a reasonable strategy to limit exposure to cheaper options in their lineup in GPP contests. Andujar is someone to target across all contests thanks to being one of the cheaper Yankees' regulars.

Nick Ahmed - SS, @ SFG ($2,400)

It’s a tale of competing factors for Ahmed, as he has the benefit of facing LHP Derek Holland, who has allowed 1.76 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season. Ahmed has had his own share of success against left-handed pitching this season, posting a .305 ISO and .371 wOBA in 62 PA this season. On the other hand, he’ll move to a park known for limiting power. On a short slate, that’s not enough to deter the play, especially given his price.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Mike Trout - OF, vs. KC ($5,500)

Despite being the best player in the game, Trout is often overlooked in DFS due to any number of factors. However, he is the clear-cut stud on the slate and has the platoon advantage against left-hander Danny Duffy. He should be a lock in every lineup.

Also Consider: Brett Gardner - OF, @ DET ($3,300)
