Teams Are Showing Interest In Hunter Renfroe
Hunter Renfroe has picked up. With the Padres agreeing to terms with first baseman Eric Hosmer, Wil Myers will now move to a corner outfield spot. With Manuel Margot patrolling center field, that leaves a battle between Renfroe and Jose Pirela for the final spot. Renfroe has always shown plus power but spent some of last season in Triple-A after struggling. Overall, the 26-year-old has 30 home runs and a career .242 batting average in 133 games dating back to 2016. Morosi mentions the Braves as a possible fit, but there have been no reports of the Padres trying to move him. If given everyday at-bats, Renfroe should be able to help fantasy owners with his power, but he will hurt in other categories.
