DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/27/16): MLB DFS Advice

There are plenty of awesome matchups on Wednesday. Stacking is always the best move for Daily Fantasy, while it's also important to be mindful of over/under's, weather, and where the game is being held.

Jake Arrieta is set to take the mound, and even though another no-hitter is unlikely, he's been the top pitching option for Daily Fantasy. Hence is price. Listed below are a couple of other cheaper starting pitcher options.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/27/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Pittsburgh Pirates versus Jon Gray - The Pirates haven't had a ton of experience facing Jon Gray, but have made the most with their limited at-bats. It always helps playing at Coors Field, especially with an over/under of 10 runs. My favorite options here are Starling Marte, Gregory Polanco, and Jordy Mercer.

Colorado Rockies versus Jonathon Niese - This game spells a bunch of runs in general. Two really good offenses square off, both of which are in the top-10 of runs scored so far this season, against two pitchers that have proven capable of relinquishing a good amount of runs. Carlos Gonzalez is 5-16 with a homer, two doubles, and three ribbies against Niese in his career. Mark Reynolds has taken Niese deep twice, and is batting .533 versus the lefty. Also consider Nick Hundley.

Boston Red Sox versus Bud NorrisThe Red Sox should have no trouble picking on the struggling Bud Norris on Wednesday. Boston has racked up a bunch of AB against Norris, while some have found more success than others. David Ortiz has gone yard twice and has driven in four ribbies against him. Also consider Hanley Ramirez and Dustin Pedroia.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Gio Gonzalez (vs PHI, $9,600) - Gonzalez finally picked up a win in his third appearance after two quality starts to begin the 2016 campaign. He draws the Philadelphia Phillies, a team that has scored the second fewest runs in the league, and should post his fourth straight quality start come Wednesday.

Stephen Wright (vs BOS, $6,600) - Wright also enters a solid matchup, facing the Atlanta Braves. The Braves have scored the fewest total runs in the MLB. Wright has surrendered only three runs in his first three starts, striking out five or more in each over that span. He did allow five walks in his last start, but they can be ignored if he continues to pitch out of trouble.

Jake Arrieta (vs MIL, $13,800) - His price is kind of scary, but this one is pretty obvious. No one is off to a hotter start than Arrieta. He's 4-0 with a 0.87 ERA in four appearances, and has only improved as the season progressed early on. Arrieta is coming off a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds and faces an inferior offense in the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brew Crew have scored 76 runs compared to their 113 runs allowed.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Nick Hundley (vs PIT, $3,700)

Hundley was activated off the DL on Monday, just in time to face Jonathon Niese. Hundley has five hits in 11 AB with a triple and one ribbie versus Niese. He only has one hit against lefties this season, but batted .292 against southpaws in 2015.

First Base (1B)

Hanley Ramirez (vs ATL, $4,100)

Ramirez is eight for 17, with a home run and three runs batted in his career against Bud Norris.

Second Base (2B)

Dustin Pedroia (vs ATL, $4,100)

Pedroia has also succeeded against Norris in his career, reaching base 12 times against him in 16 plate plate appearances; six hits and six base on balls. He's also driven in three runs, and is a solid option for tournaments and head-to-head contests.

Shortstop (SS)

Jordy Mercer (at COL, $4,000)

Mercer hasn't accumulated a ton of at-bats against Jon Gray, but has picked up three hits in four plate appearances against him. Two were good for doubles. Mercer is off to a productive start to the season, and has proved capable of breaking out.

Third Base (3B)

Todd Frazier (at TOR,  $4,000)

Frazier has taken Marco Estrada deep twice in his career, including four ribbies in 14 at-bats. Frazier's average is low but has been a nice fit in his new Chicago White Sox uniform with his five home runs and 12 RBI.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Gregory Polanco (at COL, $4,900)

Polanco has also faired well against Gray in a short amount of time, batting .500 against him in six at-bats. Polanco has been listed as day-to-day but was in the lineup Tuesday and will once again suit up on Wednesday.

Starling Marte (at COL, $5,200)

Marte is the final piece of the Pittsburgh Pirates stack, and a good one considering he too has hit a home run off of Gray in his career. He is pricey but should be used in all formats.

Jayson Werth (vs PHI, $3,800)

Werth faces his former team and had some success against the Phillies when the two met earlier in the month. I'm always a fan of players squaring off against the team they once played for. Werth has also been successful facing Hellickson, hitting one home run and driving in six runs against him.
