NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 4/6/16

We've got an eight game NBA Wednesday on the docket tonight. It's a little light for a Wednesday schedule, but there are a few attractive games, particularly the ones tipping off late on the west coast.

As for insights Vegas can provide us, much to my chagrin, there are still plenty of games tonight without a spread or over/under listed. What I do know is that of the lines that have posted, the games most attractive for DFS purposes are Rockets at Mavericks (208), New Orleans at  Boston (208.5), and Detroit at Orlando (209). My comment above about the attractive west coast games refers to the Thunder at Blazers and the battle for LA - Clippers at* Lakers. Neither of those games have lines yet, but the Oklahoma City - Portland matchup should be a fast-paced, high scoring affair.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/2/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

John Wall (vs BKN, $9,400)

I'm going to pick on the Nets backcourt a lot tonight, and it all starts with John Wall. Despite not putting up any point totals that would have allowed you to take down a GPP in the past few weeks, he has exceeded value in seven of his last 10 games. In that same period of time, his price has dropped $500 into a much more favorable number, and with the way the Nets struggle mightily to contain opposing guards, Wall should be able to cruise past his expected value tonight.

Kemba Walker (at NYK, $8,100)

I rarely ever play the narratives, whether it be hometown kid or a revenge game against a former team. Not only are those not helpful in predicting fantasy output, but they're also usually popular plays. Tonight I'm going to break my own rule, but only because both the narrative AND the numbers suggest Kemba is a great play tonight. Kemba is a New York City kid, and if you remember the old Big East tournament games, you remember that he owned Madison Square Garden when he was in a Huskies uniform. Tonight, he gets a matchup in MSG against the lowly Knicks, who allow the third most points to opposing point guards of any team playing tonight.

James Harden (at DAL, $10,900)

Hard to call someone with nearly an 11K salary a bargain, but the numbers I've got suggest Harden may, at the very least, be a little under priced. Harden's recent performance has been up to par with what we expect out of an All-Star guard. He's exceeded value in seven of his last 10 games by an impressive average of nearly eight points per game. Quite a feat when you have a five figure salary. Tonight's matchup against Dallas is favorable, as they don't have a defensive stopper in the backcourt to slow James down.

Bradley Beal (vs BKN, $5,800)

When I said I was going to pick on the Nets back court, I meant all of it. Beal is a real nice value play tonight that has a chance to put up big numbers, too. Over his last four games, he's averaging nearly 12 field goal attempts, and has had a few nights with 20+ attempts. He should get plenty of relatively easy looks against a Nets team that allows quite a few points above the average to opposing two guards.

Also Consider: CJ McCollum (vs OKC, $6,900)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jordan Hamilton (at BOS, $4,600)

His price tag has climbed $1,100 in the past week, and still, Hamilton should have little trouble cruising past his price implied total tonight. In the past week, he's exceeded value in every game he's played in, by an incredible margin of nearly nine points per game. In that same stretch, he's averaging roughly 30 minutes a game, which helps create a higher floor and rostering Hamilton becomes less of a risk and more of a value play. While tonight's matchup isn't ideal against a Boston team that plays solid team defense, the Celtics do allow more points to opposing small forwards than the NBA average.

Kevin Love (at IND, $7,000)

The power forward crop tonight is pretty underwhelming. Love is currently listed as questionable or probable, so I'd suggest monitoring his health status closer to tip. That said, if he's able to go at full speed, I really like his chances to hit value and then some. At this price point, he's absolutely a bargain, and he's a terrible defensive matchup for the Pacers, who I believe will have trouble keeping him in check in the post and from mid-range.

Maurice Harkless (vs OKC, $4,400)

Harkless has been on a tear lately, exceeding value in nine of his last 10 games. What's even more impressive is that he's done it by an average of 10.98 points - the highest I've ever seen for that stretch of time. Most importantly, for tonight, he draws a pretty favorable matchup with the Thunder. Both teams operate at a fast pace and aren't particularly known for their defense (to put it lightly), so I'm expecting a lot of possessions and opportunity for Harkless and company.

Also Consider: Dante Cunningham (at BOS, $3,900)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Andre Drummond (at ORL, $8,000)

There is quite a drop off tonight if you look past Drummond and go for the next best available center. I'm not comfortable with said drop off, and I'm a pretty big fan of the matchup Drummond draws against the weak interior of the Magic, so Andre it is for me. The price is a little steeper than I'd like to see, but there's so much value on the board at forward, it's not too difficult to find the cash. In his last 10 games, Drummond has exceeded value in seven of them, by an average of nearly four points a night. Tonight, he takes on a Magic team that is quite giving to opposing big men, allowing nearly four points above expected value per game.

Also Consider: Cole Aldrich (at LAL, $3,500)
