Wide Receivers Waiver Wire for Week 10: Beasley, Johnson, Washington and More

Week 9 is in the books, and to say that it was a crazy one would be an understatement. Antonio Brown was nearly record breaking, while we saw quite a few hot potential waiver wire wide receivers step up as well. Brown was the talking point, but there are a few players who you could snatch from the list below if you need some bye-week fillers in Week 10.

Best of all, as the bye weeks start to wind down, there's a reason to believe that a few of these players on the Week 10 waiver wire list could actually turn into consistent producers for your fantasy roster. Obviously at this point, there's risk involved with each player, but every single player has plenty of upside as well.

Let's roll right into the Week 10 wide receiver waiver wire list, and kick it off with a Dallas Cowboys wide out who had a career day on Sunday.

Week 10 Waiver Wire - Wide Receivers (WR)

Cole Beasley - WR, DAL - 7% owned on Fleaflicker

Time to jump back aboard the Cole Beasley train it seems. Obviously, based on the percentage that he's currently owned, quite a few fantasy owners threw in the towel on him, which was probably the right move before Week 9. Well, Beasley turned things around in a massive way, and was Matt Cassel's favorite target during the 33-27 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Beasley wound up with 11 targets, resulting in nine catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns, by far the best performance of his career.

While Beasley will more than likely get just one more game with Cassel before Tony Romo returns, there's no question that he should still be able to succeed with Romo under center. Expect Beasley to be a hot commodity this week on the waiver wire, for good reason.

Stevie Johnson - WR, SD - 3% owned on Fleaflicker

When it was announced that Keenan Lewis was heading the injured reserve, it was understandably a pretty brutal day for the San Diego Chargers. Well, Stevie Johnson looks poised to step up and do his best to fill the void. While Antonio Gates, Malcom Floyd and even Danny Woodhead will get plenty of catches, we know that Philip Rivers loves to air it out and spread it around early and often in games.

The 22-19 Monday Night Football loss was a prime example of what Johnson can bring to the table, as he caught seven balls on 10 targets for 68 yards. While he couldn't find the end zone (but nearly did), he's going to be a strong option in San Diego's passing game moving forward. While he's owned in just three percent of leagues currently, he's going to be right there with Beasley in terms of the hottest pickups of the week.

Nate Washington - WR, HOU - 33% owned on Fleaflicker

The Houston Texans got a weekend off to prepare for the home stretch, which means they also gave Nate Washington a chance to gear up for a big next few weeks. While I'd tread a bit lightly here due to the likely return of Cecil Shorts, the Texans are going to be throwing quite a bit without Arian Foster for the rest of the 2015 season more than likely.

We know that DeAndre Hopkins is a target machine this season, but Washington has received a whopping 22 looks over the previous two games. It's hard to ignore that type of connection with a quarterback, and it seems that he and Brian Hoyer are absolutely connection right now. Expect the veteran receiver to build on the three touchdowns and 201 yards he racked up in Houston's previous two games and get right back to work against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10.

Other Wide Receivers To Consider Adding

Bryan Walters, WR, JAX - 1% owned on Fleaflicker

After seeing Walters catch 12 balls and receive 16 targets, resulting in 151 yards, it looked like he may be a sneaky waiver wire add. Then, Walters caught exactly one ball for five yards in a victory against the Buffalo Bills before Jacksonville's bye week. Basically, that eliminated a good amount of the hype surrounding him from a fantasy football standpoint.

Well, it's time to welcome back that hype. Walters showed up big against the New York Jets in Week 9, catching five balls for 54 yards and his first touchdown. Walters is back on the radar of fantasy owners, and if you miss out on the names above, why not give Walters a shot?

Wes Welker, WR, STL - 7% owned on Fleaflicker

Congratulations to Wes Welker. One of the best slot receivers in NFL history is getting another shot in the league. According to Nick Wagoner of ESPN, the St. Louis Rams have decided to sign the veteran receiver after losing Stedman Bailey to a four-game suspension for violating the substance abuse policy.

What's really surprising to me here, is the fact that Welker is actually owned in seven percent of leagues still. For whoever held on to Welker through the first nine weeks of the season with the expectations that he'd return, kudos to you, because that's dedication. Welker should be an intriguing option, but don't expect to get much from him over the first week or two, as he'll have plenty of work to do in terms of learning the playbook.

Chris Givens, WR, BAL - 3% owned on Fleaflicker

While Kamar Aiken is largely expected to be the man to fill the void left after Steve Smith's injury, Givens has plenty of upside worth talking about. Before Baltimore's bye week, Givens showed up nicely, catching three balls for 57 yards. While he had just four targets in that game, we should expect to see him and Joe Flacco connect much more as the weeks roll on.

Givens is a sneaky waiver wire option, and it seems that he got overlooked a bit due to the bye week in Week 9, but he should be able to manage a solid stat line against the Jacksonville Jaguars this coming Sunday.
