Hideki Matsuyama Hopes to Resume Late-Season Form in Atlanta
Hideki Matsuyama was enjoying a nice run over the summer and then the BMW Championship happened. The Japanese golfer stumbled out to a 72 on Thursday and never fully recovered until Sunday's 67. Matsuyama and Atlanta have not gotten along often and last year's 29th may have been the low point. He lost 1.52 strokes to putting and was 9.6 yards off the field average per drive. Some debate the format previously helped him to better results. Matsuyama cannot afford another bad start this week and the expectation is for improvement. However, a Top 5 betting result may be worth a fade where a Top 10 result could be more plausible.
