Cam Vaughn Dismissed from Miami Program
Miami wide receiver Cam Vaughn has been dismissed from the program, according to head coach Mario Cristobal. The junior pass-catcher joined the Canes after one season with Jacksonville State and one year with West Virginia. He caught 83 passes for 1,344 yards and nine touchdowns over the last two campaigns. A reason has not been given for his dismissal. Although this isn't ideal, Miami has no shortage of wide receiver talent. Last year's top freshman, Malachi Toney, is back, and the Canes brought in Cooper Barkate, who was a 1,000-yard receiver at Duke, catching passes from Darian Mensah last season. Vandrevius Jacobs, who caught 32 passes for 548 yards and four touchdowns in 2025 at Florida State, is Miami's projected WR3.
