Brandon Nimmo Goes Yard Twice in Win
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and a walk in his team's 11-4 win against the Philadelphia Phillies. It's the 32-year-old's second two-homer effort in the last ten days, giving him 15 on the season. Nimmo missed a few games with a calf issue in late May, but has been on a tear over the 24 games since. Across that stretch, he's 30-for-94 (.319) with five doubles, seven homers, five steals, 17 runs scored, and 14 RBI. It's raised his triple slash to a much more respectable .249/.312/.465 and boasts the highest hard-hit rate of his career (49.8%). The move up to the two-hole has done wonders for Nimmo, and he's sure to keep piling up the runs while hitting in front of sluggers Juan Soto and Pete Alonso.
