Ha-Seong Kim to Restart Triple-A Rehab Assignment
Ha-Seong Kim (hamstring, shoulder) will restart a Triple-A rehab assignment Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Kim was pulled off his rehab a week ago because of tightness in his right hamstring. Before that injury cropped up, the ex-San Diego Padre was working back from offseason surgery on his right shoulder. Barring any further setbacks, he's likely to make his Rays debut sometime in the next couple of weeks. A .242/.326/.380 hitter over four seasons in the majors, Kim should receive plenty of playing time at shortstop when he joins Tampa Bay. The Rays have primarily used Taylor Walls there, but he's batting an unimpressive .212/.298/.297 with two home runs in 192 plate appearances.
