The Los Angeles Angels will place outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler (back) on the 10-day injured list with a back issue, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. Soler missed the Angels' previous two games because of the injury. The 33-year-old has also battled groin problems during what has been a nightmarish campaign so far. Soler has batted an ugly .207/.280/.350 with eight home runs and 26 RBI in 265 plate appearances. Jo Adell and Luis Rengifo have each started a game in right field during Soler's absence this week. Mike Trout could factor into the picture at some point, but he has been a DH-only option since returning from a knee injury three weeks ago.--Connor Byrne
