With every passing NFL Draft, incumbent players can experience a rise or fall in their dynasty fantasy football value depending on who is drafted to their teams. Running backs, in particular, can easily be leapfrogged on the depth chart on draft night. Other positions, such as quarterbacks and wide receivers, can experience a boost or loss in value depending on the weapons or quarterbacks drafted to support them.

The loaded running back draft class in 2025 caused multiple starting NFL running backs to lose their dynasty fantasy football value. Running backs such as Omarion Hampton with the Los Angeles Chargers and Kaleb Johnson with the Pittsburgh Steelers seem set to make immediate marks and affect the starters on their respective teams.

However, not all is lost for incumbent NFL players. Sometimes, a drafting team's lack of action can affect dynasty value as much as their actions. Let's dive in and see who the biggest risers and fallers were in the aftermath of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Biggest Risers

1. Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears

As if Williams was not already positioned for success, the new Bears regime added stud playmakers in tight end Colston Loveland and wide receiver Luther Burden III in the first and second rounds of the NFL Draft, respectively. Williams already had tight end Cole Kmet and wide receivers Rome Odunze and DJ Moore at his disposal.

New head coach Ben Johnson now has the weaponry and offensive line to get creative with his young offense. The onus falls on Williams to deliver on his draft stock. If he plays how he should, Williams could be a top-5 quarterback for years to come.

2. C.J. Stroud, QB, Houston Texans

The Texans may not have done much to boost their offensive line in the draft, but they did select a tackle in the second round. Most importantly, Houston remade a depleted receiving corps by drafting Iowa State wide receivers Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. Now, we no longer need to wonder who C.J. Stroud is going to throw to this season.

With a shaky offensive line in front of him, Stroud may still be another year or two away from fully leveling up. However, Stroud owners can breathe easier for his long-term outlook as wide receiver Nico Collins should no longer be alone as the only quality target in the offense with wide receiver Tank Dell injured.

3. Drake Maye, QB, New England Patriots

Drake Maye was a huge winner of the NFL Draft as the Patriots spent the first three rounds adding much needed help along the offensive line as well as an excellent weapon in running back TreVeyon Henderson. Maye's talent coupled with his ability to use his legs position him as a quality fantasy starter should the Patriots continue to improve the talent around him.

The Patriots already added wide receiver Stefon Diggs earlier this offseason as a player who will step in and create reliable separation for the young quarterback. A lot is going for Maye this upcoming season and certainly beyond. He is a true breakout candidate in 2025.

4. D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears

The Bears did not make an appreciable addition to their running back room despite a loaded draft class. While the board may simply have not fallen the way they hoped, it is also possible the team has some level confidence in Swift and Roschon Johnson. Swift is entering the second season of a three-year deal and he has had moments of solid play in the past.

Swift is also familiar with new head coach Ben Johnson due to their history in Detroit. Perhaps Johnson envisions a "Sonic and Knuckles" approach with Swift and Johnson this season. With a revamped offensive line and competent coaching, Swift could be excellent this year. Should he perform well, he will certainly be given the chance to play out his contract as a starter.

5. Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers

The Packers bucked a years-long trend of not drafting wide receivers in the first round when they selected Matthew Golden out of Texas. Golden's blazing speed and excellent ball skills give him the chance to be a bona fide star in the league. Love has been dealing with good but not great wide receivers at his disposal. Golden could change that.

The Packers also upgraded their offensive line by drafting tackle Anthony Belton in the second round. Love is a pocket passer whose statistics can vary year to year. Adding Golden and Belton gives him a chance at serious consistency. With a great running game already in place, Love could be a buy-low candidate in dynasty.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Biggest Fallers

1. Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots

There was perhaps no bigger faller on draft night than Rhamondre Stevenson. Stevenson has thrived over the last few seasons as New England's starting running back. He even earned a contract extension with the team last year. However, that came from a different regime, and one that was already losing faith in him.

The Patriots added TreVeyon Henderson in the second round of the draft. Henderson is an electric running back with serious pass-catching chops. Among some inefficiencies on the ground, Stevenson has provided a ton of fantasy value through the air. Henderson figures to evaporate that value.

2. Najee Harris, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Najee Harris has been a solid fantasy asset since he stepped into the league four years ago. Although he has not reached the heights of his RB3 finish as a rookie, Harris has delivered a solid baseline as an RB2 with excellent volume throughout his career. Most importantly, he is always available for your team, having never missed a game in the NFL.

Sadly, Harris' run may be coming to an end. The Chargers drafted running back Omarion Hampton in the first round of the NFL Draft. Hampton is far more talented than Harris' former running mate, Jaylen Warren. As such, Hampton should steal work early and often. Harris is on a one-year deal and could still latch on with another team next year, but his future fantasy outlook looks bleak.

3. Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Speaking of Jaylen Warren, the Steelers addressed their running back room by drafting Kaleb Johnson on Day 2 of the NFL Draft. Johnson is a thumper of a running back. At 6-foot-1, 224 lbs, he has the body of a workhorse. The hope was that Warren might escape the draft with only Kenneth Gainwell as his main competition for carries. Now, it appears the Steelers could realistically deploy three running backs.

Warren will certainly continue to factor into Pittsburgh's passing game, but Johnson will likely be an upgrade over Harris and could eat into Warren's workload as the season progresses. Couple that with the Steelers' quarterback situation, and Warren is a dynasty faller this year.

4. Jalen McMillan, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jalen McMillan entered the offseason with optimism about his fantasy future. That future is now cloudy. Not only did the Buccaneers re-sign wide receiver Chris Godwin, but they also drafted a first-round wide receiver in Emeka Egbuka. McMillan played well as a rookie, but most of that production was on the back of an unsustainable touchdown rate (21.6 percent).

The Buccaneers receiving room has become very crowded, with Mike Evans also still going strong. McMillan will have a role and appears to be the future with Egbuka. However, that role is unlikely to be sizable enough for excellent fantasy seasons, and he is likely still several years away from becoming even the No. 2 option on this team.

5. Xavier Legette, WR, Carolina Panthers

Although Xavier Legette was a first-round selection just a season ago, the Panthers turned around and drafted wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with the No. 8 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Legette still has a chance to be the future of the position in Carolina opposite McMillan, but barring a massive second-year leap, he is unlikely to be the bona fide No. 1 receiver.

Legette was touted as a physical specimen coming out of college. His main knock was his lack of productivity early in his college career. Perhaps the same learning curve will come in the NFL, but for now, he is a dynasty faller, even if only slightly.
