Jackson Jobe, Bubba Chandler, Noah Schultz - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Draft Values

Jackson Jobe - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Prospects, Draft Sleepers

Three fantasy baseball prospects sleepers, rookie hitter draft values for 2025. Read the fantasy outlooks for Jackson Jobe, Bubba Chandler, Noah Schultz.

Rookie starters rarely make a big impact in year one, but there is a talented crop of pitchers set to start in the minor leagues that could come up and find success early.

Jackson Jobe, Bubba Chandler, and Noah Schultz are all interesting fantasy baseball prospects this year, but which of these three can be considered "sleepers" at their current ADP?

Should you draft Jobe, Chandler, or Schultz in fantasy baseball? Read the draft recommendations and 2025 fantasy outlooks for each prospect below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Jackson Jobe Fantasy Baseball Value

Baller Move: Target in drafts ~pick 230

Current ADP: ~256

The Tigers drafted Jobe with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, and the 22-year-old looks ready to make an impact in 2025. He pitched 21 games in the minors last year, going 5-3 with a 2.36 ERA, 3.41 FIP, and 96 strikeouts in 91 2/3 innings. He even made a cameo with four shutout innings in MLB at the end of the regular season, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out two.

This season, the Tigers have room for Jobe in their starting rotation, which is headlined by Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal and free-agent returnee Jack Flaherty. There are veteran options in the mix, so his spot isn't locked up yet, but it seems to be trending in that direction, especially with the draft pick incentives from putting him on the Opening Day roster.

His stuff is filthy:

His main pitch is a four-seam fastball, which can get to 100 mph, but usually sits around 96 mph. He pitches off that with a split change and a cutter in addition to a sweeper from spring training highlighted above.

There are about 70 starting pitchers off the board ahead of him, so it doesn't take a huge investment to get in on some of his tantalizing upside. So far in spring training, he has given up some hard contact but also showcased his devastating stuff and a mature approach.

Bubba Chandler Fantasy Baseball Value

Baller Move: Target in drafts ~pick 290

Current ADP~319

The first of two Pirates pitchers to feature. And while we likely won't see a Paul Skenes level of hype (and production) with Chandler, there's still the potential for fantasy value. He's currently got a ~315 ADP in NFBC drafts, so can be taken in the late stages of deeper leagues.

We will not see Chandler in Pittsburgh to start the season, and he was assigned to minor league camp on Match 7th. He's only made seven starts at Triple-A, so he is still raw. But Chandler's 2024 season has put him on the radar of a potential Major League debut in 2025. A good spring could speed up that process.

Chandler had a 3.08 ERA across 119.2 IP in 2024 (Double-A and Triple-A), striking out 148 batters. For the third straight year, Chandler also cut down on his walks. His 8.6% BB% last year is still a little on the high side and would have ranked in the 40th percentile in MLB last year.

Providing Chandler can continue to improve his control, a call-up to the Pirates could come in early 2025. His fastball sits in the upper 90s. With a slider and changeup in his arsenal, Chandler should be fine striking out left-handed (LHH) and right-handed hitters (RHH).

Chandler's 30.9% K% last year would have ranked second among qualified starters in the Majors last year. Given how well Skenes and  Jared Jones have performed for the Pirates, we should have faith that rookie pitchers can flourish in Pittsburgh.

Noah Schultz Fantasy Baseball Value

Baller Move: Target in drafts ~pick anytime after 400

Current ADP~700+

There's a strong chance that the Chicago White Sox's top prospect, Noah Schultz, will make his MLB debut at some point in 2025. He has quickly risen up the minor league ranks and will almost certainly start the year at the Triple-A level. Schultz ended his 2024 campaign at Double-A Birmingham, where he had a 1.48 ERA and 73 strikeouts across 61 innings pitched.

Schultz has been impressive since being drafted in the first round of the 2022 MLB Draft, but it's almost certain that he will not be with the White Sox to open the season. The left-hander was limited to just four innings or 67 pitches per outing during the 2024 season. Therefore, the team will likely have him get used to a normal workload in the minors before calling him up.

That means Schultz is probably only going to be a stash candidate for your fantasy team to begin the year. While we don't know when the 21-year-old will be called up, he could make an immediate fantasy impact once he is called up. So, it might be worth taking a chance on him in the later rounds if your league has a ton of bench spots. He has a 2.03 ERA and 153 strikeouts in 33 minor-league appearances.
