Tight Ends Fantasy Football Waiver Wire - Week 14 TE Pickups Including Tucker Kraft, Zach Ertz, Hunter Henry, Pat Freiermuth, Juwan Johnson, Will Dissly

Tucker Kraft - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Craig's tight end (TE) fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 14 of 2024. His top TE fantasy football pickups, free agents to add, tight end streamers.

This is not the week fantasy footballers need a half-dozen NFL teams on bye.

With the playoffs starting in most standard fantasy leagues within the next week or two, being severely shorthanded is the last thing fantasy managers want. The good news at tight end is that no major players at the position other than Baltimore’s Mark Andrews are off this week. That does not mean fantasy managers might not need a tight end, though, especially since New Orleans’ Taysom Hill possibly suffered a serious knee injury Sunday that could thin the talent pool.

Without further ado, here are the top tight ends available on fantasy waiver wires for unlucky Week 14, beginning with the player who sneakily became Green Bay’s top tight end and has been one of the bright spots at the position in 2024:

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Top Fantasy Football Tight End Pickups for Week 14

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers

Did you not pay attention earlier in the season when Tucker Kraft quietly stole the TE1 spot from tight end teammate Luke Musgrave after the latter suffered an ankle injury? He has been solid all season long, posting 36 receptions for 480 yards and six touchdowns. His half-dozen touchdowns rank third among tight ends.

Somehow enough fantasy managers dropped Kraft after his zero-catch game in Week 11, so he is available in more leagues than you would think. But the guy is a top-10 fantasy tight end thanks to his touchdowns alone and has been buoyed by the fact that one of the Packers' young receivers always seems to be hurt when Sunday rolls around.

Kraft has a Thursday night date with division rival Detroit, and now is the time to run routes against that hard-hitting defense. Detroit’s D is dealing with more injuries than the Joker’s henchmen after a battle with Batman. Kraft could be in for a huge week, so if he actually available in your fantasy league, sign him up faster than the Eagles line up for a “tush push” on the one-yard-line.

Other Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Consider Adding

Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders

Zach Ertz keeps chugging along like a 100-year-old locomotive. He has Jayden Daniels throwing to him and only has top target Terry McLaurin ahead of him on the target totem pole. Ertz is a top-12 fantasy tight end this year, yet he remains available in many leagues, despite scoring touchdowns in three straight games. Just remember that he is on bye this week, so he cannot help you until Week 15.

Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh’s burly tight end has become a Russell Wilson favorite lately. Pat Freiermuth has 10 catches for 127 yards in his last two contests and should continue to be targeted since the Steelers receiving corps is light on talent behind the mercurial George Pickens. Do not be shocked to see Freiermuth have his third good game in a row this week when he plays at home against the troubled Cleveland Browns.

Will Dissly, Los Angeles Chargers

The good news is Will Dissly is blowing away his previous career bests in receptions, targets, and receiving yards and still has a large chunk of the season to go. The bad news is the veteran laid a goose egg (no catches, no yards) in his game against Atlanta on Sunday. Dissly will hopefully rebound against a Kansas City team who could not cover Las Vegas’ Brock Bowers on “Black Friday.”

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans

It appears that Taysom Hill could miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury suffered on Sunday. If that is the case, Juwan Johnson should be targeted more than ever, especially since the Saints are already without their top two wide receivers as well. Johnson had a season-high five catches on seven targets versus the L.A. Rams. That trend could continue in the coming weeks.

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Hunter Henry continues to post numbers that make him a viable option, giving fantasy managers who have picked him up in recent weeks an average of 60 yards per game over his past three outings. He had seven catches for 75 yards in Week 13, and if a couple near misses were converted it could have been nine catches for 95 yards. The two issues are that Henry only has one touchdown (fellow Patriots tight end Austin Hooper has three) and he is on bye this week.

Do Not Forget About…

Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals

Mike Gesicki can no longer be counted on consistently now that WR2 Tee Higgins is back on the field and back in the fold. He did account for five catches for 53 yards against Pittsburgh on Sunday, however. I just wish Gesicki played against defenses as bad as Cincinnati’s on a weekly basis. Then he would really clean up.

Noah Gray, Kansas City Chiefs

Is Travis Kelce’s greatness rubbing off on Noah Gray? Is Gray dating a friend of Taylor Swift’s? Is Gray ready to start doing State Farm commercials, too? All I know is he has caught a dozen Patrick Mahomes passes for 147 yards and four touchdowns over K.C.’s past three contests.

Tommy Tremble, Carolina Panthers

Tommy Tremble did an admirable job filling in for the injured Ja'Tavion Sanders this past weekend, catching five passes for 77 yards. Fantasy managers knew that he had a nose for the end zone. Now Tremble is showing he can do some damage between the 20's as well.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills

As long as Dalton Kincaid remains sidelined with his knee injury, Dawson Knox’s name should pop up in the fantasy waiver wire conversation. Allen always has loved to throw Knox’s way when the Bills get inside the red zone, so if you want to take a cheap flyer on him in a DFS contest or for one week in a standard league, be my guest.
