After an entertaining Thursday night contest between the Eagles and Commanders, Week 11 rolls on with 13 games left on the slate. Unluckily, some clubs around the National Football League already know they won’t have their starting tight end on the field. It’s just as big of a blow to fantasy managers, especially with most leagues heading toward the playoffs.

Hunter Henry Injury Update

Henry was limited to start off the practice week. But he logged full sessions on Thursday and Friday. The veteran doesn’t carry an injury designation heading into Sunday’s game versus the Los Angeles Rams.

Cade Otton has a bye this week & Kincaid is dealing with a knee injury. I may have to pickup another TE & im not sure who to grab. Hunter Henry is an option but hit or miss. Will Dissly starting to come on & TE always hurts the bengals.

However, while Henry has at least seven catches in three games during the 2024-25 campaign, he only has one touchdown. With production like that, he should be classified as a risky fantasy option in any format, even with a favorable meeting on the horizon.  

Jake Ferguson Injury Update

Ferguson didn’t practice on Thursday because of an illness before returning on Friday. If he gets on the field for Saturday’s session ahead of Monday night’s matchup with the Houston Texans, chances are he’ll be good to go.

The Cowboys lost Dak Prescott for the remainder of the season because of a hamstring injury. That leaves the team with Cooper Rush, who isn’t the most reliable signal-caller on the planet. In all fairness, Ferguson has struggled all year. Still, Rush’s presence isn’t good news as it pertains to Ferguson’s outlook on Monday night. 

Dalton Kincaid Injury Update

The Bills host the undefeated Chiefs in Week 11. Unfortunately for Josh Allen, he won’t have Keon Coleman and possibly Amari Cooper. He’ll also be without Kincaid, who will miss Sunday’s contest because of a knee issue.

Under normal circumstances, No. 2 tight end Dawson Knox wouldn't be worth considering for fantasy lineups. But without Coleman, Kincaid, and potentially Cooper, Knox has a place in deep, multi-tight end formats. Knox will also draw valuable interest from DFS participants.  

George Kittle Injury Update

Kittle was the most productive tight end through the first 10 weeks, which is even more impressive, considering he missed a game and the Niners were off in Week 9. But with Kittle in danger of missing Sunday’s NFC West showdown with the Seattle Seahawks, Brock Purdy may rely more on Christian McCaffrey, Jauan Jennings, Deebo Samuel Sr., and Ricky Pearsall.

Of course, that will likely leave little room for backup tight end Eric Saubert, who has only four receptions this season. 

Sam LaPorta Injury Update

LaPorta had a slow start to the 2024-25 campaign. Although he isn’t anywhere close to where he was as a rookie, he has at least found the end zone three times in the Lions’ previous five contests. But the 23-year-old has an AC joint sprain, so he won’t play in Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

LaPorta’s absence will open the door for Brock Wright to move to the top of the depth chart. While Wright hasn’t been involved on the receiving end this season, he’s been known to sneak into the end zone at times over the years, giving him some upside for those who are desperate.
