Week 10 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2024 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Evan McPherson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Kicker Streamers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Kacey Kasem breaks down all 2024 fantasy football Week 10 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 10 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

It might be that point in the season where you are searching for a better kicker option than the one you have been rolling with. You may need coverage for a bye week.

Lucky for you, there is a top kicker available on waivers who is currently ranked K2 in fantasy football, making him a top priority for those in need. Meanwhile, another kicker who has been a top-10 performer faces a worrisome injury that could sideline him for weeks.

I have ranked the best kickers for Week 10 and organized them into clear tiers. This way, you can see which kickers to start confidently, which ones are trending upward, and which to avoid based on injuries and challenging matchups. So, who deserves a spot in your lineup, and who should you look past? This guide has all the top options and insights for your Week 10 kicker decision-making.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 10

Only players rostered in fewer than 60% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.

Chris Boswell (PIT) at Washington Commanders
43% Rostered on Sleeper

The kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chris Boswell, is a strong Week 10 start, even against a tough Washington Commanders defense. Washington may allow the fourth-fewest fantasy points to kickers, but Boswell's consistency and efficiency make him a reliable play regardless of matchup.

The former Pro Bowler has been remarkably accurate this season, converting 23-of-24 field goal attempts and holding a 12.63 fantasy points-per-game average, making him the K2 in fantasy football.

If your league mates dropped Boswell during the Steelers' Week 9 bye, now is the time to scoop him up. In his last game against the New York Giants, he tallied an impressive 14 fantasy points by nailing all four of his field goals and both extra points, showcasing his ability to put up big numbers.

In Week 10, Boswell's combination of precision and high usage make him a top streaming option. With his steady leg and Pittsburgh's penchant for field goal attempts, he is primed to put up good numbers again, giving fantasy managers the confidence to start him in any matchup.

Jake Bates (DET) at Houston Texans
36% Rostered on Sleeper

The Detroit Lions' Jake Bates has proven to be a trustworthy fantasy kicker, even in challenging conditions. In Sunday's 24-14 defeat of the Green Bay Packers, Bates connected on his lone field goal attempt and all three extra points despite windy, rainy weather.

This contest marked the third consecutive game where the Arkansas alum attempted just one field goal. He has remained a steadfast option, going 12-for-12 on field goals and converting 30 of 31 extra points. His consistency offers a strong floor for fantasy managers week after week.

Averaging 8.75 fantasy points per game, Bates has become a safe choice for those seeking steady kicker points. His trustworthiness in various weather conditions and accuracy on short and long kicks make the 25-year-old a valuable addition to any lineup.

This weekend, Bates faces the Houston Texans. The Lions' offense continues to find ways to advance the ball, which should set him up with more attempts in Week 10. Bates is an excellent selection, offering a blend of consistency and potential upside in an active Lions offense.

Blake Grupe (NO) vs. Atlanta Falcons
13% Rostered on Sleeper

Coming off a 12-point performance in Week 9, Blake Grupe of the New Orleans Saints is primed to deliver again. He went 3-for-3 on field goals, including a clutch 51-yarder, and made his lone extra point, showing consistency and confidence even from long range.

Though the Notre Dame product had a rare miss in Week 8, his season record of 16-for-17 on field goals speaks to his accuracy, making him a trustworthy option for Week 10.

With the advantageous matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who have given up the most fantasy points per game to kickers, the second-year kicker is set up for another big week. The Falcons defense often struggles to prevent field goal attempts, creating plenty of scoring chances.

The team's offense has shown a knack for getting into field goal range, which should keep Grupe busy and productive. This week, the 25-year-old is positioned perfectly as a top fantasy kicker, making him a wise play for anyone looking for stability and a scoring boost.

Kickers to Avoid for Week 10

Wil Lutz (DEN) at Kansas City Chiefs
16% Rostered on Sleeper

A kicker to avoid in Week 10 is Wil Lutz of the Denver Broncos. Despite being a streaming option at times, he has struggled recently. The kicker has accumulated just four fantasy points in each of his last two games.

In Denver's 41-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9, the Georgia State product tried only one field goal, which he made, and added a lone extra point. The Broncos offense has had difficulty moving the ball consistently, limiting Lutz's scoring opportunities and making him an up-and-down player.

Facing the Kansas City Chiefs this week does not improve his outlook. The Chiefs defense has been particularly stingy against kickers, allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. Given Denver's offensive struggles and Kansas City's tough matchup for kickers, Lutz is unlikely to see many scoring chances.

Lutz's ceiling this week looks limited for fantasy managers seeking a reliable kicker. He is not in line for one of his high-scoring games, and better options are available for Week 10.

Matt Gay (IND) vs Buffalo Bills
7% Rostered on Sleeper

Matt Gay is a kicker to steer clear of in Week 10 as the Indianapolis Colts go up against the Buffalo Bills. In what could be another tough outing for Indianapolis' offense, Gay may struggle to see the volume fantasy managers hope for.

He accounted for all the Colts' points in Sunday's 21-13 loss to the Vikings, knocking in two of three field goals, including a 54-yarder, but missing a 53-yard attempt. Although he has been generally dependable this season, his long-range accuracy has sometimes been shaky.

Buffalo's defense is a formidable matchup that could keep Indianapolis out of scoring range for much of the game, limiting Gay's chances to rack up points. The Colts' offensive struggles have also translated to inconsistent field goal attempts, making Gay a risky play in this contest.

His dependency on long-range kicks against a good defense does not bode well for a high-scoring fantasy day, making him a sit candidate for Week 10.

Fantasy managers looking for strong production might be better off targeting a kicker with more favorable conditions and a higher chance of consistent field goal attempts.
